Would have thought the idea of a girl that couldn't run away from you, would be appealing

It is just me or does the front of that car look like it smacked a brick wall.

I really don't see what the fuss is about. perhaps the pictures are just really bad. :?

thats where the number plate holders go

pictures bad, well sorry that i dont have a digital camera and have to use my phone.
even a bad pic is better than no pic.

anyways, the car looks much better in real life than in any photos i've seen.

Number plates are flexible and besides i don't think thats the reason. Otherwise how do the other car companies get better lines on their cars.

i also have a camera phone and not a digital.

OMG, that's hot. Probably insanely overpriced though. The whole appeal of the original skyline was insane speed at insanely low prices. Although it looks like a sports car now.

I love my Skylines, just about everybody knows it LOOOOOL!

BUt I hate the Nissan GT-R. Technically its not a skyline anyways, as Nissan have dropped the SKyline name. Still, I hate this car!

And there are allready quite a few running around our country. A white Nissan GT-R has been spotted by 3 of my friends near the kollonade/Zambezi area, quite some time apart wich makes it a local. Another white (possibly the same) Nissan GT-R has been spotted outside Rhapsody's in Menlyn on more than one occasion.

A black and red one was seen traveling together near kyalami, and a Gold / bronze one has been spotted more than once aswell in Edenvale, near my mate's work

Besides that :P

Not a good tuner? Can't put 500 bar of boost on the engine block? What?

MY obsession R34 GT-R
My love R33 GT-R
My second love R32 GT-R

The R35/ NIssan GT-R To me, styling wise is a failure. its a mix between a Nissan 350/370 and an infinity G35. They took a street tuner and made an exotic. Its still a tuner (somewhat) but they made it exotic class now. Apart from gearboxes breaking everywhere, and the paddleshift levers breaking off, and being ugly as hell, it's an amazing machine.

I still hate it.

Maplassie...wow...I am a huge Skyline fan too, and I think the r35 is fantastic. True they have tunred it into an exotic, abut all cars grow up eventually.

Yeah, I think they're targeting Ferrari and co instead of Subaru etc.

I always loved the skylines since Gran Turismo where the old beaten up second hand $30k R32 skyline on PS1 dominated almost all the cars except the Cerbera and racing model FTO IIRC. Properly geared and suspension / aerodynamics set up to 350km/h top end and slight over-steer, that thing was a DEMON. Yup, it was just a game but touted as the closest you could get to real life at the time. It also brought to my attention that some skyline models were more than old POS that trailer trash drove around in Brakpan. Makes me want to fire up eSPXe.

I've hardly ever seen GTR skylines in real life but you guys are right, pictures don't do them justice at all.

+1 Internet to anyone who can get a price in rand. After exports etc

My sources tell me (our secretary used to work for Farooq Dangor, who owns that 550BHP R34) That they are about 1.3 Mil. He ordered one.

Amazing piece of machinery and hell fast, but rather uninspiring otherwise, and looks like something that should features in the new Transformers movie. Just watched the Top Gear review with Clarkson saying it almost puts you to sleep...

Can get cars with a lot more character for R1.3 mil IMO...

Watch the episode after that one where he tests is again, on the track. Its is a truly amazing piece of technology. It is the ultimate expression of Japanese automobile character. Lets be honest, Japanese cars have never been about soul, but what they lack in that department they more than make up for in nanoscale precision. One thing I cant argue is the aesthetic. It is ugly. I wonder why they did away with the "cheetah" stripes from the prototype.
