you sure you dont mean to say "within the next 5 years" :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

anyways banter aside - i dont really care if liverpool do win this year cos im confident that at the moment we still have enough firepower to keep winning for at least three out of every five years - so if liverpool wins this time around i wont grudge them the victory though i still harbour hopes that united wont find it overly difficult to leapfrog them in the seasons standings

Oooh it is so lovely to find a dreamer - so many people are so jaded these days.

Seriously - united is a brilliant team and I am thrilled that we are beating them this time. It has been a long time coming. There was a time when Liverpool was the best - and hopefully we will gradually unseat your team and take their place as the champions :D

I have read this thread carefully, it was at one stage getting heated, football always seems to bring out the worst in people, the English supporters are are quite vociferous when it comes to this. The fact that M United have been on top for so long makes it even worse. As much as I dislike Ferguson as a person, he is one of the finest football managers ever, his results prove it.
British Premier footie clubs are all on the verge of bankruptcy, without outside funds pouring in they would not exist, fans do not bring in money, TV does and the more cupboard silverware, the more coverage. Arsenal find themselves in this position, new stadium, huge loans and orders to sell at least one top class player per season. The credit crunch can already be seen during the latest transfer window.
WE all support various English teams it seems, some of us even know the team names, less of us know the team names in other clubs, if it was not for Google most would not know anything at all.
The only prediction that I will make at this juncture is that one of the top 5 teams will get the title. Let us all refrain from personal insults and accusations in this thread.

On topic:

Liverpool have drawn Everton in the next round of the FA Cup. It will be tough, but 'Pool should have enough ammo to see off our Merseyside rivals.

Perhaps a final @ Wembley in May ... who knows :D

Disappointing draw against Stoke. A few decent chances created.

O well, Everton next in the Premiership

Ja I'm annoyed at that. I still think we wuz robbed but if it doesn't go in the back of the net, it isn't a goal.

Yeah they did but we still should have taken it with Torez and so on.

BUT, a ball not in the back of the net is not a goal. No matter how easy the shot is.

Fernando Torres struck two late goals at Anfield to sink Chelsea and ensure Liverpool kept up the pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester United.
Thankyou. I'm not impressed over previous games but Chelsea are a good team when they concentrate. they might not have been though.

I honestly thought we could do it.I really did. 2-0 after 30mins and we only needed 1 more goal to win but we end up 4-4 a piece.

Still some amazing goals and the game was great.

I'm tired after watching it however, my bed time is 10pm :-(

Liverpool great team, playin well, I love watching them. Strangely I wanted them to win against Chelsea. But they will end up with no trophies again. So Ill give them "A" for effort and watch Man U beat Everton @ 5
