see guy - do what we all else do - win it then talk big - dont talk big halfway through the season then when you lose you dont have a face - its still way to early to even say who will be in the race - leave alone who will win it
Games in hand is never guaranteed points
agreed - which is why i say i
hope we wont even need those games in hand to see off liverpool - by then their eventual inevitable collapse due to peaking too early (see arsenal last season) would already have occurred - besides by claiming we cant guarantee those points in hand i can say in the same breath dont count on that title just yet
in the meantime saying that united are running scared in a thread started about the mighty liverpool (FFS its the first time in 16 years they are leading and they still havent won yet) is to me an act of cowardice from fans who are actually fearing the worst and anticipating the collapse any moment now hence trying to nervously show us that they are not scared
the best club side England have ever produced.
you base this on what statistic - or is that a purely subjective opinion ??????
dont get me wrong as a follower of football there are players in your team that i admire - and if liverpool do pull it off i will be amongst the few united fans that will actually come up to your face and say well done - good stuff and congratulations - but in the meantime dont count your chickens before they hatch
Have you considered that this squad is assembled on a much smaller budget than Old Trafford's treasure chest and are actually competing this year?
so whose fault it it that united know how to run the club as a business and hence can buy the players they need instead of scrounging around like everyone else
- besides if you play good football you get to fill 75000 seats on an average per game and also have 30000 people waiting in a list to buy season tickets - manchester united does
BTW people - enough about united - i wont mention united anymore on this thread if none of you scousers do - i was just reacting to a negative comment that should have been left unsaid - it would have prevented the usual phallic jousts
I merely highlighted the fallacy in your response. In fact, I never spoke big ... as far as i'm concerned this is a great chance for Liverpool to win the title.
Big talk is reserved for Chelsea (another soulless club) and Manchester United. PERIOD !!!
Man Utd sold there soul to commercialisation which gave them the springboard to be financially strong - as they are today. They simply filled the vacuum that Liverpool left with the turmoil of the Heysel and Hillsborough disaster. And due to the finances they (Man U) can have a 75 000+ stadium.
Liverpool fill Anfield every other week, so despite a smaller capacity, that argument is rather pathetic. So Reds season ticket holders aren't clamouring for a seat in their 1000s?
The collective number of trophies that Liverpool has outweighs the amount Man Utd have, so that warrants them being the best club England has ever produced. The BBC also voted Liverpool the best club of the 20th century ... which is a great accolade as an example.
United, since Fergie, arrived have been doing their best to eclipse the Reds. Good luck to them!
United supporters are also quite arrogant, highlighted by your repsonse, which is to the chagrin of many a Liverpool supporter - including myself.
Why compare 'Pool to Arsenal? Arsenal don't have the bottle ... which was highlighted last year.
Liverpool have, and will continue to show the heart for a battle this year, and seasons to come. Bentiz's boys have turned the corner for the better.
Also look at stats before you spew the usual drivel about a collapse. You can use Google to see the points gained from Christmas to the end of the season the last 4 years for Liverpool. It compares favourably to the usual title contenders (Man Utd/Chelsea). Also, Reina has been the winner of the Golden Glove trophy the past few seasons running. It speaks volumes for an improving defence, the basis of any title challenging side.
Once Liverpool sort out the forward line to bang in the goals on a regular basis, the championship will become a reality.
COME ON YOU REDS - YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
