help on password protecting PHP page

Can someone please help me with a PHP page that I need to password protect to logon to. I would prefer to e-mail the page to you to have a look at for security and other obvious reasons. PM me with your e-mail address if you think you could be of assistance. I would be much obliged.

You can use a .htaccess file if you want. This was you won't have to make any changes to the PHP file. The .htaccess file will password protect the whole directory that it sits in.
