New Fullmetal Alchemist Series Confirmed

Post by larch »

According to the Moonphase Website a new Fullmetal Alchemist series has been confirmed. As some of you may recall there was some news leaked about this about three month ago which caused a huge uproar in the online anime community. Which also caused Studio Bones to scramble to find the leak and take the appropriate legal action against them. But back then it was simply just seen as a rumor an nothing else. A formal announcement will be made regarding the details of the second season in the 20th issue of manga tomorrow. The new series is reported to be a remake that will follow closely to the original manga. Broadcast is rumored to begin in April of 2009.

Interesting! :P
I still havent seen FMA...if its will be a remake, then perhaps ill just wait for this to be completed and just watch this instead?

Well, lets see how things go first :D Perhaps the older one might end up better? xD

not really a 2nd season R3D... it looks like it will be a remake which I find quite stupid/weird...

would have loved a 2nd season myself as well...

You have a gap in your anime upbringing if you have not watched FMA yet.

FMA is one of the best anime series ever. If you can watch it with out feeling any kind of emotional change in you then you're a robot.

FMA was good but we already had the movie too. Remaking it at this point in time would be stupid. The animations and style used in it is similar to that of naruto and I cant see why you would want to remake something so recent. Will have a look later when I use my uncapped account again.

The story will need to differ from the first series obviously, the person who can think up FMA certainly knows what he is doing.
