yeah it is pretty much me in idiot mode and I usually don't speed and I won't do it if there are people or cars around but there is no excusing it. It is stupid.

Well i give you credit for at least knowing it's wrong! High 5
It's dangerous though dude... i mean, what are you going to do at 120 if a little kid runs in the road? There's nothing you can do... you'll run the kid over, almost certainly killing it, and ruin the family...
Think about that next time
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.
So why hasn't my dad lost his license yet? Or for that matter received any kind of fine for his antics on the highways? Me thinks the first step would actually be to get the cops (traffic and otherwise) to do their jobs and stop taking bribes for a change.
I do agree with the law but I also know that if you see a cat walking along any road in the PTA and surrounds - it is probably me. I don't break many rules of the road - but that one I do. Guess I will have to spam less and allow more time for getting to my destinations.
It probably is a good idea, but all the factors mentioned by the above are halved for motorcycles.
Stopping distance is a LOT less, you need less space to dodge something, you will most probably miss that kid who isn't supposed to be in the street and rather under adult supervision. And a big factor is that bikers are a lot more attentive than normal road users.

4 wheels = 2x traction of 2 wheels.
+ 4 wheels = 2x stability of 2 wheels (center of gravity speaking)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
= quick dodge in a car much easier than on a bike.
BOT: personally I see no reason to speed excessively.

On a bike you have less physical mass to move around the "object", i.e less metal to move away from the stray kid. Trust me, it's a lot easier to dodge something when you ride a bike.
Meh Crack down on the road users yippee completly ignore the MP's that use the blue lights to do 180+ who also verbally and sometimes physically abuse people who do not move over quick enough. Of late these buggers have been causing more accidents and road rage than speeding road users yet nothing gets done . The Banna Republic raises it's beutiful head again...
I only do 10 over the speed limit and also use my gears to slow me down. Although of late I have been doing under the speed limit but it all depends on my mood...
JUSTICE, n A commodity which is a more or less adulterated condition the State sells to the citizen as a reward for his allegiance, taxes and personal service.

However bikes are less safe than cars in any impact scenario .

Rolled two cars and been involved in two more but less drastic accidents in cars. My shoulder still hurts.
Crashed one bike, at 40km/h and spent quite a while in hospital.

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

I don't disagree, in the case of the bike rider. When cars are involved in accidents they normally affect more than just the one vehicles driver if you know what I mean.
I just hate the way the police trap at the most retarded spots where there are no accidents. Ever.
Trap in places where it makes a difference-not places where you get your bonus at the end of the month.
You are not actually stopping accidents-just stopping the flow of money into my back pocket.
DAE-to give you an idea of how much I've cut down on speeding. the last time I got a ticket was 8 months ago. I used to get 2 every single month.
