PCF Aug-08 cover

I must admit, I am slightly confused with the PCF cover for Aug-08. A poll was held to vote for which cover users would prefer. Results indicated that the "hot" cover was the favourite. Yet, PCF decided to use the "babe" cover.
Now I don't mind either way (I still think it's a great cover, regardless), but still, I can't help but wonder why PCF would bother running this poll in the first place?

Congratulations, that is the best cover PCF ever had. Impressive! Imaginative and definitely HOT as voted, congrats to the art director or whoever came up with the idea.
Did you guys use a model? If so, maybe you should have another competition to let a reader be present while modelling.
