Anyone been following the race?

I watch the 2 hour evening package each night and I must say it has been very exciting.

However with Ricardo Ricco being nailed for being up to his eyes in epo it really put a dampner on what was developing into a great tour.
Looking back on his performance on a couple of the mountain stages it looks pretty obvious now that we know he was on epo. His acceleration away from the pack was just insane. What a shame he had to disgrace himself, the team and the tour like this.
His whole team have now pulled out - all on the same drugs and pulled out in case they all got caught? Possibly.

I think that is now 4 riders busted for drugs in this years tour - so much for the 'clean' tour the organisers were hoping for.

Still The Alps beckon, I'm hoping for some amazing races up those evil slopes :)

No. If one of the riders is caught doping the whole team is kicked out of the race.

I've been following it, but not as much as last year due to varsity

So far it looks like unsexy tights, performance enhancing drugs and Euro rock and roll.

I enjoy Tour de France but I haven't been watching because of the drug busts-it's just not cricket.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero :(

Incorrect, cos Liquigas and Barloworld have both had riders kicked out of the tour but both teams are still in the race.
Robbie Hunter was up at the front end for Barloworld yesterday so they're definitely still in even though his team mate Moises Duenas has been given the boot.

That was the case last year... So the french cycling federation has probably changed those rules...

Maybe the team dropped out for the disgrace of having two stage wins pulled from them

Yup I agree, they must hang their heads in shame.

The commentator (phil) certainly did hint that other riders on the team may also have been on the 3rd generation epo which they (the team) thought was undetectable.

Foothills of the Alps today - here come the out of category climbs :)

Have been following, not as much as I should though.. since I am a cyclist -
Dont have DSTV as well - so going to friends place to watch, at least every Sunday
