The television anime series ef - a tale of memories is set to get a sequel called: ef - a tale of melodies this has been announced today at Rondo Robe’s 2008 event in Tokyo. Like the first series it will be based on the ef - a fairy tale adult games. It will see the return of director Shin Oonuma and Shaft as the animation studio. Also returning are the supervisor Akiyuki Shinbo, series script supervisor Katsuhiko Takayama and character designer Nobuhiro Sugiyama.
The first season of ef - a tale of memories was really impressive story and visual wise, if you consider the tight budget that studio Shaft was on when they created the first season of the show. From what I have seen in the short trailer for ef - a tale of melodies, it is going be just as good as the first season maybe even better. Check out the trailer.
