Gurren Lagann Parallel Works

Post by larch »

“Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann parallel works” is a set of music videos created by Gainax studios featuring music from the Gurren Lagann OST, and puts our heroes in alternative settings. The first one seems to take place somewhere in the middle ages, with Simon/Kamina/Viral entering a castle to save Princess Nia from the evil spiral king. I laughed at the idea of Viral as a “knight in shining armor”.

The first music video features “Rap is a man’s soul” and has been released on the official Gurren Lagann movie website. Gainax had been working on these music videos for some time now, with the idea of releasing one each week until till the official Gurren Lagann movies release.

These are made by GAINAX, as in, the GAINAX that made Evangelion, not fans.

They release these for free whilst were waiting for the OVA. Probably higher versions on their webplayer but, Japan's vids are locked to Japan's IP's only, so we can seldom access it.
