Where do i send my specs and pictures to if i want send in my pc for rig of the month?

Can we PLEASE get a sticky about this guys?

Post the pics + specs here, so the forum trolls can scrutinize them and decide whether you are worthy to cross over our bridge to the wonderful castle of PCFormat rig of the month.

Otherwise just PM Nab, I think KillerByte will also know where you can enter.

I for one would love to see the different entries and ideas, whether they win or not.

Does rig of the month have to be modded or can it just be about the hardware?

thats a tough one to explain.

the best for me to say is to send it to us and we can decide if its worth of the accolade

I was wondering exactly the same thing. Even just sticky a thread for rig of the month entries ... but I suppose that could become messy unless it's locked and admins do all the posting.

correct, i tried to create a similar one just for watercooling and the few village idiots we have here, cremated it.

Well, that would make sense, yes. But surely you're not going to publish every entry submitted? Hence, it would be nice to see non-selected entries somewhere on the site. Unless you really don't anticipate getting a whole flood of entries?

Lol yeah, I sometimes get the feeling that there wasn't too much to choose from when I see the rig of the month. No offense to anyone

Can we like submit our rigs twice? Eg. right now my hardware specs suck but I want to submit it, but after a few months I get new hardware, can I then submit my rig again?

As much as I love browsing the forums, I must ask that all Rig of the month entrants submit their rig along with the highest quality images you have of your rig.

If you have upgraded your rig, and your rig has not been featured in the mag then by all means please send us your new and improved rig.

OK just to clarify: send your submissions to letters@pcformat.co.za complete with specs. We will then contact you for more or higher res images if needed as well as possibly a video that we want to put on the mobizine. I am dead keen on modified machines though, a Rectron special with some LED's is not likely to make it, especially after some of the awesome mods we have on the local scene. If you have any questions plx raise them now as this thread is going to be locked very soon!

Lemme just say from the outset that this machine is as of yet unmodded. However, the cabling was fun to do in this notoriously difficult case to work in.

Its been about 4 or 5 years since I last bought a rig (AMD Athlon XP 2400+, FX5700, etc), so this is a real change for me (earning your own cash and being able to source things at retail cost helps a lot too!!!)
