Updated the OP with the timing results.

Yeah as far as crashing goes it was a good one. My wrist hurt like a mofo for a couple of weeks though and I had to wear a brace, but luckily I didn't break anything.
SykomantiS wrote:Yeah, and, like you said, it was bound to happen.
Out of curiosity, how much is racing costing you?
Yeah I knew I was going to crash at some point, I'm glad that that was my introduction to crashing.

As for the racing. It's quite a lot. Entry is R700, practice varies from R200 to R500, then I'll probably pick up a 2nd hand rear tyre for R200-R300, fuel for the bike is about R150, fuel and food and travels and such is another R200-R300. And then when you crash there's more expenses.

Then there is maintenance every so often as well.
Jus that thing still ugs in the ugly.

Haha yeah, when you put it into that perspective it's quite bad. Hooray for not having to pay for lodging and food, yet :P

Nope.

Looks cool to me, I like superbikes, tourers, bobbers, choppers, cafe racers the same. What I don't like is off roads, enduros etc.

Don't worry, it's not going to scare a ZX14 anytime soon.

And it only makes 7 more horsepower than all of my 675cc's. And costs $50,000. What a retarded thing.

Random thought Wik, how does that Trumpet compare against say, a TL1000R? Straight line....

Bring a TL and we'll find out :P

Haha, I have no idea. A co-worker got his TL back today, maybe we must sort this out :P

Oranges are extremely tasty, therefore apples are retarded. 3-cylinder apples.

Something like that.

I would be wary of dismissing it on hp alone- it has nearly 200Nm of torque to work with- say what you will. It's a drag racer and I'd guess it isn't all that slow.

Horses for courses guys.

Now, about them apples...

With the new 14 pushing 150Nm, coupled with the higher hp and traction control I think the 14 will win in 'n drag race hands down.

Yes, it will- it is also lighter, iirc, but don't quote me on that.
My point is, that hellcat is not a track tool like Wik's Daytona.

I'd still ride one, that thing has got attitude. And I imagine it would handle uphills in top gear without blinking.

I'm with Hman. That Hellcat looks great, has an awesome name, and if need be, can tow a caravan!

Lol, they should build a trike, with a tow bar then you would really be able to tow something

There's this guy, in Pta, goes by the nick of Rusty. He has a trike with, not sure of the motor, it's either a beetle motor, or a Nissan 1.6. He has a tow bar, and everywhere he goes, he tows a coffin- which he sleeps in when going to rallies and the like
