Why some people should not cosplay

Post by jee »

I don't often make fun of people... but really...

cosplay is suppose to be special..
not turn you into a pumpkin...
or is that a banana peel? Look carefully, you might recognize Cloud...

"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I have cosplayed many times and it is not about looking exactly like the characters you are dressing it is also about just having fun and tooling around. So what if you don't look 100% like them thats not the idea.

Omni Gibson is a good example she doesn't look even close like Revi from Black Lagoon but she manages to pull off "the look" perfectly.

Then there is these young ladies that are "crossplaying" as link from Zelda they are female but they still pull it off nicely

Image

The Costumes are often made by hand from scratch, designed from the ground up by the kids who wear them. These kids have an incredible amount of skill and imagination.

Image

And then there are those who cosplay to actually enjoy them selfs and make a mockery of others. Manfaye is a good example and he has a cult following on the web just google it.
