How can I go against what the Godfather (of modding anyway) has said...
Hahahhaah!
YES!!!
You may want to look at the other Lian Li cases, before you decide too. The A77F is one of those cases that I feel like only a small number of people will truly appreciate if it hasn't been modded. I think it's amazing, but could do with some work. I have one that's chilling about 30 cm to the left of me on my desk for that mod
I can't WAIT to see this thing when it's done. Here's that photo my girlfriend took of it:
And between us, here are some never before seen photos of the case. I'll be publishing these on the NAG site sometime this weekend:
BTW, you know that the case has USB 3 support hey?
Marvelous case. The quality of this case is truly incredible...
EDIT: Wait, I should watermark those.
EDIT 2: Done.

The way I see it, the only competition to Lian Li is Silverstone. Man, they have amazing quality as well. That TJ07.... *drool*.
I fully agree, although I'll add Antec in for their P series chassis which are rock solid with good airflow and have simplistic styling.
Yeah Antec is good, I have a Koolance WC Antec case that is fantastic quality, but Lian-Li is something else. It's a pity here in SA we have to pay such a premium though. That A77F case I'm looking at is R3700 on average. I mean damn.
I have a similar antec to your koolance version. It's actually badged. I forget who made them. Chieftec sold the same case and an even bigger and heavier version.
Oh and as for Silvertstone, Muhahaha.
NakedIt are the agents.

@ ryan - Not all the HAF cases are ugly. I don't like the 932 and the X, but the 922 looks pretty cool, will probably get that for my new PC.
Can't afford to spend too much money on a case, so the 922 fits nicely into my budget. Would have liked a case with a black interior though, but I don't want the CM690 II.

I was very much leaning towards one of the Zalman GS1000 cases, they looked AWESOME, but then I read a few reviews and almost everyone complained of the shoddy build quality, so I decided against it.

Very nice DAE!
I think I've narrowed it down to either a SilverStone TJ-10 or that Lian-Li A77F. I must say I would like a full tower so that I have ample space for my watercooling without affecting airflow and that A77F just has so much space...

DAE, how much is that case?

Funny, when I look at this case, I actually feel like it's a bit small. I'm SO used to my Lian Li V2000, and that thing is freaking HUGE. Hahahah
Mystical_Titan wrote:DAE, how much is that case?
Hmmmm, it's a R3000 at cost excl VAT, so you're looking at at LEAST R4000, probably closer to R4500. Definitely worth it IMO.

Dang... a bit too much for my budget... I think I'll stick with the HAF 922.

It's
R3,586.00 incl VAT here at
Wootware, which is who I'll buy through.
Also looking at the Antec 1200 now which I really like, but there's just something about the LL case I love so much...

I was initially going for the Cosmos, 'cause I wanted to use the Aquagate Max kit, but then I decided it was too pricey, so I'm going for the HAF and the Venomous X.

Wow, that's a bargain. I didn't think we'd see these for that cheap...

Yup, it's expensive for a case, but I can't help myself now, haha. Going to confirm availability now.
I kinda wanted a case with a side window though, so that I can see my WC setup, so some modding may be in order. I just love that cases classic and understated design.

What do you think of the Corsair Obsidian 800D?
I just came across it, and really like the internal space and styling, awesome cable management!

I like the cable management, but the case itself doesn't really appeal to me... but then I'm full of crap and my opinion probably doesn't count for much.

Ya I like the internals of the Corsair more, and the fact that it has nice watercooling preparations on top for easy installation of a triple rad, but I prefer the LL overall.

I don't like the mesh front, so the Corsair would get my vote here.

WOW!
Does it undercut their competitors like their other products do?

There's a Rig of the Month on Guru (I think it's Guru) where the dude is using the Corsair case. Pretty sweet setup he has...

Seriously Wish I had 3 grand to toss at a case :O
I'd take the 700.

If money was no limit... I'm not sure what I'd get... but I'd be very tempted to get the Cosmos Black Edition. Just looks awesome!

I don't like the cosmos cases, to me they feel or look plasticky and cheap. In fact in general, I dislike CM cases.

After reading many reviews and much deliberating I've decided I'll be going for the Lian-Li
PC-A71F (with side panel window). I think it's more my style than the open vented A77 and I prefer the way the interior is layed out. Confirming availability and then shall order...
Man the only mission is redoing my watercooling now. I hate draining those systems...
