It's not a monster rig HF, to todays standards it's not even a mid-range PC. It's a crap PC that looks good :D (well, i think it does)

I have a question regarding the barbs, when I tightened them I hand tightened them as much as I could then turned them in about 2 turns with a spanner. Is that too much and I rish damaging the O-ring?

by Firestrm_ZA
hey mike, good to see ya... thanks for the kit bro...  did some test fitting last night.... woot.... drill and prep tomorrow... haha...

anyways o/t as far as the tightening goes.... that fine... if you read the manual it tells you to tighten till its tight then another quarter or half turn... i tightened mine in till i couldn't turn any more by hand then slowly turned with a spanner till i could feel heavy resisitance....

Pleasure Firestrm :)

Well I hope it hasnt damaged the o-ring coz then its bound to leak now or at a later stage.

But anyway, I just need to prime my system now and its all done :) :D

Mike dude you know that pump needs to be gravity fed for best performance and silant running hey?

Yip, Resovoir is up near the top of the case, and pump sits on the base at the bottom. Just havent connected the Res and Pump up in the pic.

Ye man it just looks like in that pic you going to have to either turn the pump right around or 90 degree's

Not the end of the word though. That pump is strong enough that you can put it pretty much anywhere in pretty much any orientation and it'll be fine. Mine in Epiphany is at the top of the case, at a 90 degree angle:

And even there it has NO problems pushing a hell of a lot of water.

Skidd thanks for the suggestions.

I am not 100% sure what you mean though. The pump is gonna stay how it is in the pic, the res connects to inlet which is horizantal and the outlet which is vertical will pump to the 1st Gfx card. How else could I position the pump?

Ye man I just though if you turned it 90 degrees anti clock wise as to what it looks like in that pic, then you would look a bit neater and the tubes wont stick out too much

Aah ok ;)

Might actually do that, thanks! :)
