Indeed.
To think HL2 impressed us so just the other day...

LOL yeah. When i played Ep2 2, i thought to myself "sheesh, to think i was actually impressed by this at one stage..."
This, on the other hand, is really close to perfection.

See all the clients they have.. Mostly the big studios.

HL's animations never really wowed me. This actually looks good.

Very nice.. I still don't feel like the sound is coming out of that character's mouth tho.. So I guess we need a few more years till it becomes that realistic.
But hopefully GTA4 is incorporating that technology.

Very nice but I doubt you'll see this in any game soom. Well except maybe for the cutscenes. To render a model of that detail in real time would take a whole lot of computing power. I'm not saying it's impossible, just very unlikely that what you see there and what goes into a game will be the same.

It's pretty good, but not quite perfect as yet.
The characters rendered face is still unable to replicate skin texture 100% accurately, also a crucial pert of facial expressions: dimples, brow creases and forehead lines are not rendered

Yea, its the wrinkles that will take it to the next level, and I don't mean wrinkle textures :\
