The Bugatti Veyron may no longer be the world’s fastest car. Today — following a number of teasers and leaks — Barabus officially unveiled the TKR: a new 1005 horsepower supercar the automaker says is capable of doing zero to 98kph in 1.67 seconds. What’s more, the car reportedly has a top speed of 270 mph — nearly 20 more than the Veyron. Power comes from a 6.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers. The car has a full carbon fibre body and chassis. Further details remain sparse, but the automaker says it will sell the car for £360,000, which should translate to around US$500,000, using typical automotive market conversion rates.

I've always thought that the Barabus looked like the illegitimate child of a Saleen and a Zonda...

Yeah I will stick to the Bugatti Veyron .

I am sure if they did a slight weight reduction they would get more out of it..

I always thought that Barabus does after market modifications on production sport cars?

If I am mistaken about this sorry...

If I am right the Veyron will still be the fastest production car on the streets...

If we are talking 250mph+ cars then I would take the Veyron or the Koenigsegg CCXR. But still, its 0-100 time is VERY impressive.

How fast is the fastest superbike 0-100km/h ?

Probably a Suzuki GSX-R SRAD with forced induction right, or is the R1 still the quickest? Regardless, these sub 2 second cars will keep up with those bikes and then pass them at about 200km/h.
