Barbaric Stellenbosch Police carrying out a supposed raid...and harassing, injuring and violating innocent students in the process.

Students say they were pistol-whipped, verbally abused and beaten by police during the searches and have logged their complaints on social network Facebook.

Eh
Dear police, please go and give these idiots another beating.

They are, don't you worry . Dozens of students have laid charges against the SAPS, the owners of Bohemia and Mystics are pressing charges, it was on the front page of all of the papers this morning, and Bohemia was full of television cameras at lunch time.
I just missed it unfortunately - I left Bohemia at about 11:30, a hour before the raid.

Ahh the memories.... Sigh.
Back in the day (we're talking 18 years plus) in Grahamstown, the old SAP did the same kind of 'drug raid' a few times.
Oh the joy of lying in the ash/beer/vomit mix on the floor with a boot on your head.
The b*st*rds were like Borg. Waited till we were so drunk that resistance was futile.
Good to know standards are being kept down.

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Grahamston chilled out a bit my man, when I was there about 8 years ago we only had verbal abuse.

Was 6 SAI still there? We used to go to all the 'off-limits' pubs cause that's where the [female] students hung out.

I was at a night club in JHB when it was raided and experienced exactly the same treatment. Luckily I was only shoved into a wall and then told to lie down but I saw a girl next to me get maced at point blank range.
Funny thing is that they caught nobody, this was a real dodgy place and really deserved to be raided but all the dealers just abandoned their wares and walked out like all the rest of us.
this stuff really isnt funny. I wasnt there on the nite but i wne t this past wednesday and guess who was there. . reporters from Carte Blanche!!!
They did a full story, it'll will be on this sunday. U might even c me! seriously i urge u all to watch it cause what the cops did is unacceptable! i mean grown men throwing helpless student girls around into walls. doesnt that just scream of decency!
I taje it personally because its a community im part of
Fry: Hey, wait, I'm having one of those things…you know, a headache with pictures.
This is our countries crime unit. To protect and serve? Thats the American way. However I heard it got pretty bad, will hear what carte blanche has to say on sunday.
But if this is how our force operates, beating up people in a bar but does jack all in high jackings or robberies then something is really out of line.
