RAM clock speed does it's own thing

When I hike up the FSB to overclock the CPU even by a small amount, my mobo bios seems to set my memory down automatically to the next lower mem multiplier, even if I do not have the mem multiplier set to auto.

I see this when opening SiSoft Sandra after making the bios changes - it will show my CPU at the new overclocked speed and my RAM at a dismal slower speed, never a higher speed, even if only a small change has been made. I have good quality memory and am sure it can take more than the stock speed. Am I missing a trick here?

Make sure that your strap / fsb / div is right.
