Sup all.

I'm looking to get my little bro a 1999 POLO CLASSIC 1.6 (sedan). What I want to know is whether these cars are also high on the hijacking/theft list. I can't seem to find anything on the net. Are they just like Golfs?

I know all types of cars get jacked etc etc so don't give me that speech. I need to know about this car in particular. Even if its just you own personal opinions.

but insurance people recovered after 6 months~

then he got the car is a mess~ send in to repair, cost over 30K, lucky for him, the insurance pay out for the repair.

Damn. I was hoping that it wasn't as much of a target as the hatchback Polos due to the fact that it was the sedan version.

AFAIK the polo is not as high a risk as its stablemates. The city golf, late model Jetta IV+V, Golf IV+V and Passat is tho

Will see if I can find the stats and post them

As far as security goes... only the ones pre transponder key is low tech

No statistics are being released because it makes the country look bad  Typical government cover up for their mates!

I am planing on buying new Polo 1.6 Comfortline next month and also looked in to the jacking of the car, but as I can see there isn't a car that you would be safe in, but the planned hi-jacking at your home is "usually" on your high end cars.
Getting jacked in a polo boils down to the wrong place at the wrong time :?

Put C4 on the breaks that needs to be specially disabled. Claim the damage as an act of terrorism via suicide bombing that went wrong should it get hijacked and go boom.

You know what I take each day as it comes if you have to think about everything going down in this country you will be so scared and not enjoy life.

Yeah, but you still have to be careful. Ive always been anti BMW and VW because of the danger. I wouldn't be caught dead in a BMW at night (pun).

Are Yaris' high on the list?

Yeah. Plus you have to take into account the people not using Netstar so the data for older cars should a lot higher.

1400 should come standard with a rear mounted machine gun and optional machine gunner.

 machine gun sound nice, but I still prefer flame thrower thing~

If you wanna get your bro a car that won't get hijacked, get him an old mini. They won't even look at it.

Im driving a Kia Cerato and its not even on that list.

Look at the Hyundai or Kia ranges, the lesser known brands of cars are of near on the same quality and much much less of a theft/hijacking risk these days...

Also, pricing is awesome on these cars and I am dead happy with all the stuff I got...
