FRIDAY:
======
Highlanders VS Sharks - I'm going out on a limb and picking the Highlanders. The Sharks have not impressed me this season. How much longer will there luck hold....and is young Mr Steyn going to pass the ball?
Have you been wathcing rugby this season?
The Hurricanes have only won 1 game, and that was against the wooden spoon Lions.
The Sharks beating the Blues wasn't luck.
Sure, we were lucky to come away with the draw last week, but you surely can't really believe that they are second on the log by luck, and that the Highlanders will get some magic together and beat them?

It's a Million-to-one shot, but it just might work.......

Yes, I have.....however, I am also a natural pessimist.

The Highlanders have some big players 8O

So far the game is going ok although the Highlanders are more dangerous with the ball. Sharks need to pick up the performance or they might get hit head-on with a Highlander train in the second half :O

Highlanders 17 Sharks 19

Highlanders
Tries -Fetu’u Vainikolo, Clint Newland
Pen -James Wilson
Con - James Wilson (2)

Sharks
Tries -Jacques Botes, Ryan Kankowski
Pen -Pienaar (2), Frans Steyn

Rather unimpressive performance from the Sharks, missing five out of eight kicks. Still, it's a win.

Holy crap that was close!
I've never seen so many mistakes in 80 minutes.

Sharks were really lucky to get the win here.
I guess it just shows you how bad the Highlanders are.

I'm sure the sharks will step it up for next week though.
We can't afford another game like this.

The Sharks were bad in the first half but I must say that they played very good in the second half. It isn't easy to play any New Zealand team in New Zealand. We missed kicks where as their kicker missed only one kick I think.. We had opportunities to score more tries..

At the end we were lucky to win but from the second half performance we deserved to win the game.

yeah, but we could've scored another 2 tries at least for the bonus point.

But I guess they wanted to showcase all the different ways to knock the ball.

What did I tell you? ;)

I don't know so much about them stepping it up though....but that's just me.

I have noticed a frightful number of handling errors in the games I have watched.....

Just you wait ;)

Maybe the sharks like to provide us fans with drama. 'Cause whether we play a rubbish side like the Lions, or the Highlanders, we win by a few measly points. When we play a Great side, like the blues, we STILL win.

But I really hope this game was a wake-up call for them. That they need to now, "haal uit en wys" (is there an english version of this expression?)

if your surname is Van der Walt you will probably say "take out and show" :)

guess when we have load shedding :(
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Yeah it's like they are taking it slightly easier because if you peak too early you will fade out towards the end when it counts so this is definitely a good thing that the Sharks havn't performed in their last 2 games because now there is no more slacking and bunjee jumping  they have to sit down and work on a few things which could result in a very strong run towards the Semis and hopefully Finals.

I thought we would have more Rugby fans

On the sunnier side of things the Stormers are doing good :) I havn't checked the log but from what I see the stormers may benefit from the Western Force's loss earlier

One thing that really annoys me in the Super 14 is those damn Kiwi commentators. They are pretty much as corrupt as Mugabe. If they ref makes a bad call advantaging them they say "yeah good call" but if he makes the correct call advantaging us they comment "terrible call".

They one New Zealand team passes the ball like a meter and a half forward the ref blows it and they starting chirping his "eyesight"

You guys noticed those idiots?

And the Ausie commentators are even worse....

Um....no....but I do remember hearing a certain Antipodean commentator praising the Stormers.....

....and us South Africans *never* have anything negative to say about the match officials?

Hurricanes are third on the log, they are contenders for the quarter finals, no doubt about it.

Kronos is maybe confused with the Highlanders? :P

Oops. come on. you know what I meant. Don't make me go back and edit all those posts ;)

I meant the Highlanders.

What an interesting weekend we have behind us.

My prediction was up to shift this weekend.

I Only got Sharks, Crusaders, and Stormers games.
The other 3 I lost completely.
I did enjoy the Bulls / Hurricanes game though ;)

So, the Crusaders' unbeaten run ends.

Have the Sharks played the Chiefs yet? If not, that's another team to be wary of...
