Friday 21/03
Crusaders vs Waratahs [06:35] Crusaders win
Brumbies vs Cheetahs [08:40] Brumbies win

Saturday 22/03
Highlanders vs Western Force [01:30] Force win
Blues vs Stormers [04:30] Stormers win
Chiefs vs Bulls [06:35] Bulls win
Lions vs Reds [15:00] Lions win
Reason: The stormers are playing some superb rugby at the moment. Bulls have a win loose win loos win loose 'neiging'. Lions will win because the reds travel.

My rough and ready guesses for this week:

Friday 28 March: Hurricanes:Crusaders-Crusaders:Should be a humdinger.
Waratahs:Cheetahs-Cheetahs still cannot buy a win.
Force:Stormers-Hmm...not sure about this one.
Saturday 29 March: Chiefs:Highlanders-Chiefs [Thumbsuck]
Blues:Bulls-Hier kom moeilikheid. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth and suiping of klippies.
Sharks:Reds-I would expect the Sharks to win this one, but then I am biased. They could be rusty after their week off and I am concerned that they may be sloppy and not take the Reds seriously enough.

I hope I'm wrong.

I'd like to know what has prompted willy Muir to play Frans Steyn at flyhalf AGAIN.

<shakes his head>

That young man needs to be taught to share the ball.

The Sharks have not lost a game yet I think i'm not sure..

I agree with you about the problems of Steyn being flyhalf but with Butch gone we need to start experimenting with flyhalfs in the Super 14 otherwise our Springboks are in trouble.

Correct...they have not yet lost a game.....5-0 so far. Similar to their start last year, but then they have yet to play some of the tougher teams....

[and by tougher, I don't mean rough and tough-they've played the Bulls already];)

Hurricanes v Crusaders - Crusaders for me are looking pretty solid
Waratahs v Cheetahs - Waratahs (Unfortunately Cheetahs are dieing out there)
Force v Stormers - Awesome game, hard to tell. Will give advantage to the force as being favourites but I am not picking.
Chiefs v Highlanders - Chiefs seeing as Highlanders are manning bottom spot
Blues v Bulls - Another big clash. Expect a fight but blues to come on top
Sharks v Reds - Sharks (bias yes, but will they win, yes)

Muir has a tough job to handle. Personally I think it is a bit rough to leave out Rory Kockott as he has been playing some very good rugby, but naturally Ruan is no1 Sharks scrumhalf so I guess it had to happen. I wonder how Muir would feel to chance Steyn at fullback, Kockott at Scrummie and Ruan at Flyhalf (seeing as Ruan is so versatile at the back plus it could even open up his chances into getting a decent permanent springbok starting position as he can compete for the seemingly lacking flyhalf job) just a thought. Let Terblanche come on as a run on, just like Michalak

My picks for this weekend are as follows:
Hurricanes v Crusaders - Crusaders by 10. Not an easy game. But the crusaders are not top of the log for nothing.
Waratahs v Cheetahs - Waratahs by 7. I don't think the Wa's will run away with the game, but the Cheetahs stand almost 0 chance of a victory here.
Force v Stormers - Force by 5. I think this will be the toughest competition this weekend. Both teams have been playing really well lately, but I think the Force will just get the win.
Chiefs v Highlanders - Chiefs by 9. No contest.
Blues v Bulls - I don't see why you guys see this as "A big clash". The bulls have lost 2 consecutive matches against FAR weaker sides than the blues. I Say the Blues by 15
Sharks v Reds - Sharks by 12. Muir has said that they are definately not underestimating the Reds. The Reds can bring a game if they want, but the thing I love the most about the sharks is their ability to lift their game to a higher standard when they play a tougher side. And the fact that they can take on most teams, and play the other teams game plan better than that team.

Why are there more games on Fridays now? It used to just be the one game at night and maybe sometimes one in the morning aswell on a Friday... Now we have 3 games lined up tomorrow when most people are working.

haha Stormers played absolutely fantastic. Well done to them, hope they come back home with that great form.

Cheetahs lose by less than 7 points, who would've guessed  Okay so at least their 2nd half was better than normal so they can take pride from that I guess. Still very very disappointing from them though.

Haha yea, but we Stormers are smart enough to keep our traps shut untill afterwards! :P

I thought it was brilliant, the Stormers played the ball quickly the WHOLE game, and the force were just on the backfoot all the time and were never given a gap to recover.

Well done to the stormers. They might bring us a second team into the Semis.

At least there are three SA teams in contention for the wooden spoon.
