Sorry if this has been asked before

Ok long story short, I cut the hole in the front of my case so only a 120mm fan can fit there, and I have a 80mm at the back of my case extracting so no my question is, should I leave my layout as it already is or should I put the 120mm fan at the back extracting and have nothing in the front?

what about ur PSU?

As per ATX specification revision 2.2, most efficient layout is where your extraction is at the rear, intake at sides/front, and where the intake is equaled by the exhaust.

warm air rises. shouldn't the extracting fans be at the top of the case?

I would rather switch the fans, 80mm front and 120mm back.

I have 2 80mm fans on th eside of my case forcing air onto my cpu fan and the other onto my southbridge/lower memory area.

I would love to put a fan in the top of my case as there is a pre-cut hole for it, although my modular PSU is a little to long and won't allow a fan to fit there.

So should I put the 120mm at the back and have nothing forcing air through the front?

You can leave the whole setup as is, air still circulates through your system,
although I feel the 120m back/820mm front setup is the better option.

All comes down to what you decide in the end.

Buying another 120mm fan is also an option, but that you said you not intend on.
