only prob is that bikes dont have hoods! ;)

yeah, it would have to be a more general name refer to all things in the automotbile industry.

"Burn Some Rubber" sounds cool though

any other suggestions... ?

As for the name, "Skidmarks" sounds great.

Actually it may be possible that it is only a 8inch sub with a custom cone/tube made for it.

when measuring a speaker you measure across the cone, so if that cone is x inches across then it is referred to as an x inch speaker.

I think what you are referring to is the size of the voice coil or magnet.
ie: that could be an 8 inch coil with a mofo of a cone attached - but the sound would be awful, if audible at all.

Skidmarks sound 100's.

I have built some cars, mostly Jags, XJS HE was my favorite, from scratch.

O yes, of course, it was all there and I had a team. I started in August of 99 and started up the car on Christmas day that same year.

You might have seen it driving around jo burg, nice metallic blue convertable with a sport kit

A bit of both, I worked in a panel shop/ conversion centre and my boss had all these jags. He was quite passionate about his cars.

Fair enouth for the measurements but the sound you get depends on the material used for the cone and the shape of it. certain materials just absorbes the distortion to such an extent that you won't even hear it if the speaker is damaged
