well most of the shows on atm I haven't really seen, except Gundam and maybe Hellsing, though I haven't seen where the animax version is... I know for sure that the Gundam started late, but from what it looks like, most other series actually look like they do start from beginning...

yeah, it is like the Series and ActionX channels... it repeats the same episode during the day, and only start with new eps at like 18:00... well from what I have browsed that is how it seems...

strangely enough, I am finding myself watching Eureka 7... mainly though cause it also mecha, which is one of my fav genre...

ooo, but have you peeps seen the partial nudity they have shown? :D
also see that Najica Blitz is showing, which is a nice "panty shots" series... so you will be well distracted and the dub won't even bother you... :D

Hi guys

Not sure if you aware of this, but if you need help re the schedule you can check the following link:

http://www.animaxtv.de/

Quick German translation guide:
Voormittag = Morning
Nachmittag = Afternoon
Abend = Evening
Ubersicht = Overview

(Our shows start an hour later)

Also if you want to put names to episode titles check out:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php

Choose a show and check the ep listing guide.

I know it's not perfect but it's at least a start...

Err i watched one whole week of Animax and I am pretty disappointed not by the actual content but how it was executed.

1. The starting date of the Channel was incorrectly stated in the Dish magazine

2. They randomly started in a middle of a show (Gundam Seed)

3. The channel is fed live from overseas if the link goes down for a couple of hours what then ?

4. Too much reruns of episodes in a single week (u have to wait a week for a new episode)

5. The normal dubs are fine the Animax Dubs make my ears bleed.

6. The Adverts are over the top and cheesy and they pronounce everything incorrectly rather use the advertisements that came with the dvd.

I really hate that, it seems that every time I watch its the same episodes in the same sequence as the day before

Dudes, Animax has been running in Europe for a while, all DSTV did was buy the rights to air it here. So expect to see episode 19 of whatever right off the bat. This is not a DSTV created channel like ActionX. Its more like Discovery or Animal Planet

According to the Dish magazine we were supposed to get the following shows:
.hack //Legend of Twilight
Solty Rei
Magister Negi Mage - Negima
Scrapped Princess
Samurai 7
Gundam Seed
Love Hina
Last Exile
Eureka Seven
Earth Girl Arjuna
School Rumble
.hack//SIGN
Tenjo Tenge
Hellsing
Basilisk
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Speed Grapher
Najica
Trinity Blood
Rune Soldier
A mix of Geneon, Bandai, ADV and Funimation titles but currently we’re missing Magister Negi Mage – Negima; Scrapped Princess; Love Hina and Rune Soldier.
So far I’m enjoying Solty Rei (reminds me a bit of Elfen Lied) and Speed Grapher

why are you all rampaging around and being upset?

we knew it would be like this... :!:

well, at least I knew. As long as its in any language other then japanese I could not be satisfied...

and you know, the name of this thread is quite ironic. Animax in SA is indeed "Breaking News" to anime fans, especially those who were traders...

so far I am enjoying this lovely channel sure there a week of re-runs but show me one dstv channel that does not show re-runs? :roll: DSTV false advertising re Movies goes to show the amount of repeats :roll:

Eureka 7 is awesome! I am absolutely loving this series, to bad I cant watch all of it :( My parents hate anime so when I am day shift I cant watch it and then on night shift I sleep during the day :(

Najica Blitz is on at what time? If its late like hellsing then I cant see it :( also when is Tenjo Tenge?

damn that sucks Anakha... Tenjo and Najica are both late at night :(

I am wondering though bout the Najica... it really doesn't look anything like the Najica Blitz Tactics I had/watched... but damn, last nights episode *wipes off the drool* :P

well strangely enough, it is lekker to watch the eps to pass some time... see that Gundam has replayed the episodes before the one they started off, which was episode 18 and so now they are back on track...
yeah Eureka is pretty good... wish I had it dubbed, but it isn't too bad (well for me)

also, larch, you do not wait a week for a new episode... it is like I said, it is much like ActionX and Series where their new episodes start at like 18:00

I don’t know if this is true or not but according to Multichoice (Black Cat; Black Lagoon; Magister Negi Mage – Negima; Love Hina ; Hinotori – The Phoenix) are some of the new shows said to air in December on Animax
