united 1 - everton 0

vidic saved some embarrassing blushes in this game with a typically aggressive headed goal - and united are seeming like they are becoming one goal specialists

even though one player doesnt make an 11 man team i just cant wait for rooney to get back - united are floating at sea and blundering around like blind guys this season so far

and even though winning is winning - they are not the smooth well oiled machine they were last season

oh well - couple more games to go for today - gonna watch the chelsea - blackburn match as well - though i expect chelsea should win easilly

Some interesting scores today. I wonder if Bolton want to be relegated as they lost again. Shame poor Spurs. They were winning but the conceded 3 goals.

Shame poor Spurs
well all their forwards missed sitters - Berbatov couldnt get past Carlo Toure in a one on one situation with no keeper on the line - and then Robbie Keane didnt have the presence of mind to keep his shot low with only the keeper to beat and he was onside - and then when Darren Bent came on as a sub he missed twice in 5 minutes - so really poor finishing is what finished off spurs in that match

also the biggest shame to me is that the Martin Jol saga continues - the guy isnt a bad manager - in fact there was a time that ManU was interested in his services - i think that spurs just arent giving him enough of a chance - they are too impatient for success - and thats their main problem IMHO

but well done "the Gunners" on getting to the top of the log with one match in hand - now though the top looks like its shaping up to the usual suspects - arsenal/liverpool/chelsea and manU in that order now head the log - and from now in i dont think there will be too many other teams featuring for too long within that top 4 spots

well done also to the hammers on their 3-0 win against Borough - im beginning to feel quite sorry for Gareth Southgate - the transition from being a player to becoming a top flight manager isnt without trial and tribulation for him

im now looking forward to uniteds next weeks match - chelsea i think though should be favourites to win that game - even if united reintroduce Rooney into the fray they are playing very uninspired football at the moment - but nevertheless id be very delighted if united can win especially since united and chelsea are neck and neck on points right now - i also hope my big screen tv arrives in time for that match - im expecting it sometime this week

Yes they only had themselves to blame. They wanted to beat Arsenal for the first time since 1999. Also giving Arsenal a lot of the ball is suicide.

Chelsea and Liverpool both drew their games this weekend which leaves them level on points with us(United) even though Liverpool have a game in hand, I hope Rooney and Hargreaves are both fit for this weekend coz we play Chelsea on Sunday, Chelsea have only taken 1 point from their last 2 games so this is as good a time as any to beat them and we can't afford to drop more points especially not at home

Manchester United beat Chelsea but Arsenal are flying. Derby look like they want to be back in the championship and Spurs I think have forgotten how to win teams. Newcastle are back in the winning trail. Some very entertaining matches like Man Cities 3 all draw with Fulham.

but Arsenal are flying
they will lose a few soon - they havent started playing the big teams yet - they lose to liverpool and united and chelsea and all of a sudden - you will see them dropping a notch or two

it seems like viduka is settling in nicely at newcastle - the big boys starting to score a few here and there - Sam must be pleased with him

sounds like an interesting match- will see if i can catch the repeat of that one

Man City should have won that one. I like their new squad. The league's best young 'keeper belongs to them. On Chelsea: Good luck to Jose

Did you guys see how Tevez and Rooney combined on Saturday? Now if we add Ronaldo to the equation a lot teams are gonna suffer at the hands of these 3 in this season. I was happy to see Anderson getting a run, after his 1st game I was a bit skeptical but the last 2 games his been superb. Rooney has his goal scoring form back, thats what I've been waiting for since the season started.

'Pool got another come-from-behind result this past weekend. A richly deserved victory over the blue scum that is Everton.

Hard-work ahead this weekend against league leaders Arsenal. Can't wait

As a Man Utd supporter its hard for me to say this but we need Liverpool to do us a huge favor this weekend and take points of Arsenal, the gunners have been really great so far but its about time this run comes to an end. If Liverpool can't do it then we gonna have to do it next week

We need some top four clashes to sort out the pecking order indeed.

I watched the Spurs Newcastle game last night and i'm afraid its not looking good for spurs. If the defense doesn't get their act together they might just get relegated, after consecutive 5th place finishes everyone expected a lot more from them. I don't think Jol is gonna keep his job for much longer if they don't start winning soon. They had a couple of close games this season and a lot of those games they should've won but they just can't keep a lead. Why was Berbatov on the bench again last night? In the Liverpool game he was awesome, winning almost every aerial ball that was played towards him and he just knocked them down in the path of Keane who scored 2 on the day. The way they played that game reminded of the Owen Heskey partnership when they were playing for Liverpool. If I was Jol I'd start Berbatov and Keane every game (if there both fit) and i'll just tell the wingers to keep whipping in those crosses.
I really hope they get better this season

At this moment, I do not consider Liverpool to be one of the "bigger" teams :D

Arsenal and Man U are tied at 26 points, but Arsenal are in first place and retain their unbeaten streak with one game in hand, even after facing one of the "big teams"... :D

Bring on Saturday! Arsenal vs. Man U at Emirates stadium...

Damn, that's the exact opposite of what all the Liverpool fans are saying on the VW Club! They admit it was obvious that Arsenal were playing better than Pool...

Unfortunately I didn't catch the game so can't comment... :(
