I must admit I'm really impressed with my works upload speed, it look me less than 20 mins to upload 120 megs to the internet today.

these are my speedtests on a 4mbps connection over wireless...
will post the cable tests in a bit

Can someone please explain to me why two different speed tests have two different results? Okay, uploads are pretty similar. Download speeds differ a little more. Pings even more so. Is it all ultimately just thumb suck?

Agreed with you there. Here's mine - I have no idea where they get the ping from (unless my home wireless network was up to its usual dodginess again):

The best part is, try to run Pingtest.net now. I'm assuming it's developed by the same crowd that did Speedtest.net, but check for example my Pingtest.net result. Speedtest.net gives me a ping of 196ms; pingtest.net drops that to 109ms.

ok I got the same speed on my cable connection... phoned helkom and they tell me to phone the broadband centre... been holding for the past 34 minutes
