I have Ubuntu Ultimate 1.6 busy downloading, currently at 46% so should be done by tomorrow, and have Ubuntu 7.10 arriving next week Tuesday from FOSS CD's. I also have openSUSE 10.3.

If anybody in the Pretoria (live) or Sandton (work) area ever needs a copy of either I'll be more than happy to provide a copy if you provide the media, or cover the cost of the media.

Most *nix systems have generic drivers for most hardware, so like windows, it will detect and install it but the hardware will run at a really disgusting pace

not strictly a pure penguin distro, but it is free and it is available as an ISO download...

:D before I trot of and waste what precious little cap i have left, any chance one of the PCF denizens has Solaris 10 available, (preferably not the express edition...), on media?

i have a wee project underway which may include rolling out on this platform and i'd like to get a head start..

anyone here have any solaris experience... i've only ever seen it in operation once and that was ... a while ago...

I'll be downloading Open SuSe 11 tonight if anyone is interested.

*edit* I also have Clark Connect 4.2 SP1 which makes for a fantastic firewall, samba, proxy, mail server. Been installing it at several clients and haven't looked back.

Hi guys

Was wondering if someone in the Pinetown/Durban area has Ubuntu Server Edition ISO? Preferably Pinetown and I'm willing to collect?

Good thread this!

Haven't been on here for a long time. See there's plenty of new faces around.

I have Ubuntu 8.10 and Mandriva Free 2009

What I am looking for is a few older Distro's such as Suse and Mandrake. Who has older versions of this and what versions?

And if I could get my hands on that OpenSuse 11 it would be great.

Thanx
