Is it possible that your cell can get infected with a virus or hi-jacked by a hacker My phone sends weird multimedia mms's (or it at least try to) every Thursday to Sunday It contains topics such as "norton anti-virus update", "DVI Codec", "Free porn" ect...

Would it help to have it "formated" and reinstall the software or will a new sim do the trick

What phone? Yes, it is possible. A format for your phone will do the ttrick (*#7370#)

Had the same thing on my S60 (6600)
You had a "unknown" blustooth message come in - that infected your system. You can dload mobile fsercure to remove it - - ti however make sure that you mms settings are deleted off your phone, because it cost me R1.00 per mms, and I have over 300 ppl on my phonebook

Fsecure is expensive!! Rather download Norton (Norton for phone is the 2nd best anti virus) from http://dvd8.wen.ru and run a scan.

It sounds like the commwarrior virus.

Norton doesnt need to be registed (My version on my site) it will remove that virus. It also has a firewall

Nokia S60 is still the most powerful phone OS.

its a good phone, I have not used it personally but from what I have seen and heard people are very happy with it...

Sony Ericssons have PATHETIC cameras!! They distort and look as if there is too much noise! Otherwise they arent bad phones.

really my W900i takes brilliant pics...

in fact the qaulity is comparable to both the Nokia and Samsungs...

The W900i isnt bad...zoom in fuly and then it gets bad!! Nokia S60 will never. I dont trust samsung!!

okay went through gsmarena and they dont have a nokia model called the S60, so what is your model again?

with regards to pics being taken with cell phones if you zoom with any phone, it is doing a digital zoom unless you have the phones with a optical zoom. thats the reason why they look bad when using zoom. any phone with digital zoom will look bad.
