Save animation as *.gif

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a tough time saving an animation in *.gif format.

On the File > Save As.. > dialog, there's only an option to save as *.psd which I've already done. But now I'm trying to save the whole animation as a Gif file...

Somebody please help. I'm using Image Ready by the way

Um... If I remember correctly you should choose the option to "save optimized as..."

Are you using Photoshop or ImageReady?

preview the file in a web browser(right click on the image Preview in-> Firefox/Internet Explore) and then save it like you would with any other image

EDIT: or as Black-Ice said you can go to File->Save Optimized As...

nope...
It was there when he started this thread...

Another way you can do it is to send the image to photoshop and then
File>Save for web...
here you can adjust certain things to maybe make the pic smaller etc...

if you do that, it wont be animated, it will only be 1 frame

For some weird reason photoshop isnt really designed to work with gifs... Thats why most/all of the gif editing (etc) has to be done in image ready... and only when it is complete you can export to photoshop (which will only show 1 frame) and then save it.

It works on my PC...
