I'd suggest starting with the tutorial at http://www.cplusplus.com - after that you should have enough grasp of the language to move onto tutorials for Qt, or GTK+, or whatever interests you.

i found the sams teach yourself c++ in 21 days really really good, although its better to have more than one reference, as some of the books explain certain concepts differently, which might be the same way u see things

good luck

Studied
VB.NET
ASP.NET
MS SQL
HTLM & XML (if they count).

Have not used them once in the working world.
Frequently stop and scratch my head as to why I spent over R50k on a qualification that I am not using and that I am forgetting at an extraordinary rate.
Was looking through my text books and mini-projects that I did, can hardly remember any of it. Programming is something you really need to keep doing to keep the skills fresh.

All :P

C, C++, PHP, Python, Java, Bash - the common things.
Erlang is awesome.
C#, is like Java, so there's no difference really.

By the way, HTML, XML and CSS aren't languages per se, they are markup stuff :)

A little bit of delphi, which we do at school. It's kinda fun to start exploring with all the functions and stuff. I'm also mapping for cod2, not really "programming" but it is similar coz you have to script the whole map's missions and special scenes and stuff.
