Music Composing/Producing Thread
I've been composing my own music for the past year or so. Does anybody know what to do with it?

Add a bit of salt and Aromat to taste, and then stick in the microwave for 3 minutes on full power, or until cheese starts to bubble.
If this sounds a bit dangerous, you could try put an album together and become SA's hottest new talent, apply for a job at any number of television studios who would be happy to hire a good sound engineer, or just listen to your scores yourself and be happy at what you have created.
What kind of music do you make?

I dabble a bit in drum & bass, but mainly trancemusic.Mikdog wrote:Add a bit of salt and Aromat to taste, and then stick in the microwave for 3 minutes on full power, or until cheese starts to bubble.

Reason is da Shiz!!!
MIO is an excellent place to start, theres a forum there for new producers. Post your score and people will listen. I say, screw the big labels, and use and abuse the internet to get your stuff out there. You might not make any money at first, but you'll get noticed sooner or later!

I use FL Studio 6 XXL Producer Edition, Cubase and Cakewalk Sonar.
Where can I get this REASON? I would like to give it a shot.

Its a very complicated, but much more had on approach on music making.
Guys like Mauro Picotto, Paul van Dyk, Timo Maas and even Prodigy have been known to use REASON.

Maybe PCF could put some tutorial videos on Reason on their cover disk.
(hint, hint)

If Hannibal Lecter played World of Warcraft, would he only skin humanoids?
You know how in depth those videos would have to be, the programs tough to use, but hugely versatile. As long as you've got all the plugins, its excellent.
The manual is enough though, got me pretty far at one stage, but then just didn't have enough time in the end to sit down and produce. You really need to sit for hours to make any progress. Unless you're a natural of course.
Check out a magazine at CNA called Computer Music, they usually have tutorials on these programs. They also have tons of royalty free samples you can use in your tunes

Finally got it uploaded!
Here is a tune I've been working on for a few hours. Bare in mind that its still incomplete and the bass line is still a bit cheesy, but I'm working on it
