johankirsten wrote:Hi there,

I need a forum that can help me with a project I'm doing on university.

The system we need to design is a "new commercial bank" and the end product of the system must be a powerpoint presentation but research must inlclude:
1) Systems request
2) Preliminary investigation
- Fact-finding
- Recommendation of the new system
- A report to the "management" of the "new commercial bank"

If anybody can point me to a forum that can help me with these processes it would help a lot .

Thanx
Okay for some reason ppl seem to be a bit tense on this forum....

Cant help you with number one because to my understanding it sounds like that you have to show what system your customer has requested to buy.

number 2 is pretty self explanatory what is the problem? do you need to programme?

im just kinda confused as to what type of help you need...

*Sigh*. It's an investigation into the feasibility of the project that includes matters such as funding, labour, building costs, employment, prospective profits etc. Now stop being lazy and start using your brain.

*serious mode*

Yes, give more info.
It sounds as if you need to do a viability study - whether its for a whole new bank or just a new banking product is unclear.

Q. Do you guys have the "poetic license" to make up your own case or did they hand out a recomendation?

Do you have to investigate the feasability of a proposal, or are you past that stage and need to do the investigation into the initiation of a proposal?

from what i can see, u need to investigate the cost, marketing etc. u have been told who ur target market is. then u have to design a banking program in whatever programming language u have been studying ie: VB.net, java, C# or C++. with basic function such as debit orders, monthly interest and maybe bank charges and the ability to edit the entries... then put all ur info into the powerpoint presentation...

yuo see.. i look at the OP, at how everything is given to you in plain language, so logically and neatly, and this whole thread translates to:

"me and my lot have been skiving off and not bothering to study what little information we were required to and now the heat is on and we have no clue what this is actually about.. "...

or am i so far off target i've missed the bright red barn?

Please close this thread

Please close this thread, Imm is going to help me, she's got some people that's going to look at the project content and evaluate it to see whether I'm on the right track. BTW, that's all I needed and wanted, or examples as I stated three times (I think, could be more)

Anyway, could one of the moderators please close this thread.

Thank you
