Hobbies

Post by Cameron_Losco »

Just out of interest I would like to know what hobbies you guys are into, personally I think that my only hobbies (if you can call them that) is playing games and watching TV. Okay, there is the other thing which we are not going to get into

Heh, very similar to the addiction thread :P PC Games and roleplaying are my only 2 real hobbies tho.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

Then another horse came out, a fiery red one.
Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth
And to make men slay each other.
To him was given a large sword.

I also want ideas for a hobby - mine are so boring. I'm writing a book and I'm learning how to programme - but HELLO! I want to learn something new and fun. Come guys - give us ideas so Cammie and I can become at one with our inner hobbyist

How is "writing a book and learning to program" boring? :?: What language are you using anyway. (The program, not the book. )

Guys, I said hobbies. Not everyday activities.

I am asking about things like stamp collecting or model building (even gardening will do). The things that you do as pure enjoyment for nobody but yourself. You see I am in desperate need of a hobby and I can't think of anything.

Hobbies like that are stupid. Join a sports club like squash or something if you have the time. You could also steal peoples dogs, wait for them to offer a reward for finding the dog, and return it for the cash. Yay - fun and profitable.

I enjoy visiting 4X4 tracks around the country with the occasional trips into the hinterland. Us Round Table types have to keep the Klippies and Coke, Millers Draught and so on flowing. Believe it or not, I also collect stamps.

Gaming is a major hobby of course, but I also like Archery ( got my own bow recently) and another cool hobby is keeping and breeding exotic fish I prefer cichlids and catfish, they can be very attractive additions to your house, and unlike gold fish have very interesting behaviours. If you really get into it, breeding fish can be a rewarding challenge.

Also if you enjoy case modding, well there are lots of ways to Mod a tank with different colour lights etc!

My Only hobby, if you don't count Programming, Which is my job (yet still also a hobby) is Ballroom & Latin American-Dancing(The proper international style, not the stuff you learn at Arthur Murrey or Dancewell). I'm Pretty good at it. I worked as an instructor for quite some time. 8O

Be polite, professional and have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

Here goes.

Used to be heavily into photography, was part of my local photography club and PSSA. Very rewarding. Used to go out and look for nice photos for hours, even did some wedding photos for extra cash. Had a 4 star rating (bit lazy to get my salons), but we closed down for lack of interest in my town.

Always loved and always will love reading, stuff like Douglas Adams, Harry Harrison, Terry Pratchett, David Eddings and many more...

Discovered scuba diving last year. Did my NAUI course with some friends and it’s great. I don't even need scenery to enjoy my diving experience. It's a great breakaway, just a bit expensive.

And I love music, good music on a good sound system can keep me smiling for hours.
The Gentle Giant, the last of his Clan...

I enjoy reading, playing guitar and drawing. I also enjoy doing martial arts and have been involved in Karate, Judo, Aikido, some weapons training and capoeira. Movies and music are also a great past-time of mine. 8)

I always wanted to be a writer when i grew up, I love books and collect them, saying that i won't die untill I have read them all...at this stage i will live to 300y at least. 8O
My favourite autors r Terry Pratchet, Johanna Lindsey and Clive Cussler.

All you diving people should get some of Cusslers books, he is a real life famous shipwreck + treasure hunter, he puts these elements into his books.

Anyway, i'm also into photography, hiking, magic and RPG, puzzlers. I collect old coins(the scarce kind). And I organize my life around the TV shedule.

In my spare time I am learning to hack so that i can hack into the swiss banks and get rich quick
