I used to (but was only competitive for about 1.5 years)... I do it just to keep fit now.

What i want to know is home much time is cut off your time for each less gram you have cos i find it hard to believe that a R800 water bottle holder gives me so much extra speed.

Do you know of a forum which is cycling oriented or not

One word: Ouch!! 8O

Though I wonder, how on earth did he get that right, on a straight road?? Even if he'd only applied front brakes, the water would have stopped him from braking successfully; the brake pads would have slipped, surely?

Looks like he hit a small pothole that was hidden by all the rain water, but still ouch!

Aha! That's it! Yeah, in the first pic his front tire looks like it's stuck in something.

Face-first... That must've really hurt.

Well, I can see what some people get out of cycling, but it's just not my cup of tea...

Ah, Jamin... You know how the MODs are sometimes. "No images of a sexual nature - this is a family forum". And I was just saying "maybe", but probably not.

I've just started again, but cant bring myself to waking up at 4 in the morning to ride anymore.

I can honestly say that someone is ripping you off there dude. Even if the bottle cage were made from carbon fibre or titanium, you still wouldn't notice much of a difference. What level are you riding at? The pros would certainly worry about those extra grams, but if you're not doing it proffessionally then you're just posing. Trust me, ride with the heavier bottle cage for a 3rd of the price, and you'll wind up stronger than the competition when you eventually do get to that level of racing.

Eeeish, the lengths salesman go to to make a sale...
