Villarreal 1 - 1 Benfica
Manchester United 0 - 0 Lille
Udinese 1 - 1 Werder Bremen
Panathinaikos 0 - 0 Barcelona
Sparta Prague 0 - 2 Arsenal
Ajax Amsterdam 2 - 0 FC Thun
Rapid Vienna 0 - 1 Club Brugge
Bayern Munich 2 - 1 Juventus

In what can only be described as an uninspiring performance, ManU drew against Lille in a game littered with yellow cards and free kicks, resulting in Scholes getting a red. ManU remains at the top of their group though.

Only 15 minutes into the Arsenal game Thierry Henry was brought on, after being injured for almost 6weeks, as a replacement, and accentuated his dominance by scoring 5mins later and again in the 74th min. This made Henry the top scorer in Arsenal's history with 186 goals. What a comeback !!

Hey S, I was just reading on News24 about Henry's 186th goal! Awesome stuff, especially after being injured for 6 weeks! Just shows what a player he is... :)

All you Manchester supporters are so stupid. Please tell me what you won last season. SILENCE as I thought, because you won nothing.

I am a Liverpool supporter and been one for 4 years now. By the way you spelt Liverpool wrong. I have to admit Liverpool have gotten off to a bad start in the Premier League, but I think most of this is due to Rafeal Benitez. I think he is a bad manager. I mean we won the last Eufa Champions League and then he goes and spends all the hard earned cash on some pathetic Spanish twits that think that they can play soccer. He should have just stuck with the original team. Anyways Liverpool play tonight. Hope they win as all of you should.

The_Fenix: Well I'm an Arsenal fan, but like you I hate ManU with a passion...

Last seasons final was absolutely amazing, I was even a Liverpool supporter for that game!

Well done The_Fenix, why it take you so long to support the awesome Reds? Just an innocent question

I think people should lay off Benitez for a bit though.

He's bought what 'Pool can afford although they have been majorly left-sided players. Barragan (right wingback) a youth prospect has been doing well in reserves so the future is perhaps what his looking at. Kind of like what Fergie did when he had his 'ducks in a row' and brought the exciting youngsters in the 90s for Man Who.

Anyways, hard fought victory tonight in Anderlecht. We holding on too much in these Euro games though. Not good for the 'ol ticker :)

:BOLD: > That went over your head then.

At the center of a true Man U supporter is an unfailing focus of loyalty, even in the dry season. Something you have yet to understand. I am a Man U supporter and have been for the last 20 years. We've lost a whole team in a plane crash, survived near relegations and have the glorious '99 season. *PROUD*

Now go don your drooling liver clothing and be quiet.

Another draw to Man U sees them facing the possibility of not being in the knockout round for the 1st time in a long time.

Arsenal on the other hand have won their group with a game to spare :bigups:  .

Long may the Reds continue in the Champions League this season.

I hope Arsenal make a real go of it too, they've never tasted European Cup glory in their long hostory. I think Man U have lost their way a bit in Europe although as always they will make a fight of it.

Lets see what happens in the knock-out's.

And so ManU's hopes to at least advance to the knock-out stages was dashed after loosing last night to Benfica, a testimony to the effect that change of ownership and turmoil within the club could have on any team. *dissapointed but proud nontheless*

Isn't it lovely to see a change like this in the Champion's League? Not only did MU not qualify for the knock out stages, but they finished bottom of the group therefore missing a chance to play in the 2nd tier European competition, the EUFA Cup. \o/

Maybe next time. :)
