They don't lick balls. They are simply leaderless. There are some awesome youngsters in the current Arsenal squad, but they don't have enough experience to hold it on their own. Look at Fabregas, Flamini, van Persie, and Reyes. Simply superb.

Ok true, but then how come Chelsea can hold their own without John Terry?
Is it cos they know wat they doing or is it cos he isnt much of a leader?

Although unfortunetaly, liverpool doesnt seem have much spirit when Gerrard is on the bench! :(

There's no such thing as "give" in the context you use. As sad as it is... it was TAKEN.

Good to see Man Who are out. They've never been the same side since they won it back in '99. Winds of change are blowing through Old Trafford so get used to it Manc supporters.

Liverpool play differently without Gerrard but they far from gutless. Still unbeaten in Europe which is a good thing.

It will be interesting to see what ties the last 16 draw brings when the Champs League commences again in Feb. Can't wait for the rest of the season.

Everyone wants the Glazers out. No-one wants to do what it takes to get them out. Frankly I was hoping United would lose on Wednesday because it just means 15million pounds less in the Glazers pockets. Its gonna get worse folks. Much worse, before it gets better. Me, I'm loving it!

Suck it you American Granpa!

You're just loving it because the Glazers are losing, but I know you're hurting deep down because MU is losing.

Henry out guns Real
22/02/2006 07:49 - (SA)

London - Arsenal scored one of the greatest victories in their long European history when they defied the odds to beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Tuesday.

Thierry Henry's magnificent solo match-winning effort was one of only five goals on the night as Bayern Munich and AC Milan drew 1-1, Benfica beat European champions Liverpool 1-0 and Olympique Lyon won 1-0 at PSV Eindhoven.

The first leg ties marked the resumption of the Champions League after the winter break in the first knockout round.

Henry's strike was also one of the finest in Europe this season as Arsenal, injury-hit, out of form and written off by almost everyone, became the first English team to beat the nine-times European champions in European competition at home.

However, none of the 14 players who appeared for Arsenal on the night were English, while Real started with two - Jonathan Woodgate and England captain David Beckham.

DAMMIT ALL! Not a great game... The replacement keeper is no good IMO and Henry didn't play his best at all, missed about 3 good opportunities.

That's the way the cookie crumbles, but DAMMIT ALL!!!!!

Barcelona top yes, but Arsenal are no where near the best. They played good to get their, but they aren't in the same league as Milan, Juventus and Real.
