RiD1's First attempt at lego Movies! 56K Warning!

ya all!

This is my very very first attempt at lego movies! Its pretty good i think! This very short animation of 5 seconds takes about 30 minutes to capture frame by frame on camera and then there's still the extra 5 minutes of composing the animation also!
Made using a Canon Powershot A85 with auto setting turned on and flash off!
I have a 400x300 version of this animation, but its 4 MB's!
Here's my first clip. and I'll post more as I make them! Any ideas for clips...
this one's about 1MB
Wait for it to load fully, for ultimate enjoyment!

Basically the storyline goes like this:
(this scene was taken in my bedroom BTW!)
Harry potter nabs a skateboard from a passerby and rides it away, finds a fire and burns his head and dies! The end!

I need to borrow all my nephews lego for the next clip!
Enjoy
RiD1

p.s I know there's many lego video sites, but this specific video is exclusively unique, cos the worm did it!

LOL that's great! Stop motion animation is SUCH fun!

Rid1 , nice... You can actually buy yourself a tripod for R100 ... For one with level's in both left/right + front/back you neednt dish out more than R300... I myself have my eye on the R300 one at Dions. The camera can clip loose instead of just screwing on/off via an extra part that screws on loosley. Nifty to quickly take a hand shot and return the camera...

@slasher thanx...Reason i asked leigh to buy it for me is cos my wallet's empty!
Maybe you'll buy it for me?

BTW: does anyone know how to take close-up shots like those, without the pic blurring? I struggled alot with that! Canon Powershot A85!

Push the down button on the "keypad" ... You need to use macro focus (For close up pics)

Else, you could go to M mode and set the aperature and lense speed yourselve, but I doubt youd be into that... Im not...

Alternatively, once you have it set to macro and focus on the pic, whilst holding the focus, press down on the "pad" (Whatever you want to call it) and release. This should have locked your focus to the setting it was at when you focussed, now you can just take the photo's quicker.

I myself cant afford the tripod now, nor it seems in the next year ... Stupid studies... :/

I'm not the first one to do it, There are Pro Lego Motion sites out on the wide web! You just need to use google properly and find a huge resource! I even downloaded a Lego version of the spiderman movie....but its only 12 minutes long! But the animation in it is excellent!
