Hey does anybody know of a version of OS X that will run on a PC

Google is your best option i reckon, But i dont think thats it written for the i386 achitecture... Could be wrong though
EDIT : I looked, and these doesnt seem to be anything
The closest you gonna get is to skin your windows to look like it

Could be a possibility when macs start using intel chips, which should be pretty soon. There's a thread about it flaoting about somewhere...

Supposed to let you install Mac on a PC. It's a MAC emulator as it were. Havn't really played with it considering I don't have Mac OS X. But in theory it works. Now just to get Mac OS. Hmm, cheaper than MS I see <G>

i think the intel thing was just a rumour. yup there is a way of emulating it. it was in last months pc extreme mag.

i have mac 0s x Panther Orignal, the CDS dnt read in a windows based PC!!!!
Mac OS X is so much simpler and better than windows,and it looks kewl and uses less resources!

I have it running in VMware on my Intel at work. Crap slow.
There are ways to get it work without any emulation software on a system that has SSE3 dd'ing the image via Linux/Windows onto a spare HDD.
More details than this I will not give.
Google will give you results you need.

Please note that this is not legal if you dont own a legal copy of OSX.
Please dont ask where to get an iso or anything like that. It is piracy to copy OSX.

Another thing is that Apple is switching to Intel chips for the new systems so they are working on a x86 version of OSX.
Hopefully OSX will be availalble for purchase in the future for your new PC.

Why does it run SLOW!!my friends powerbook g4 has 256mb ram and its a 1.33ghz and its super smooth!!
Isnt there a way of duel booting OS X

Dont know.
I suppose the slow part comes from VMware. A direct port is apparently super fast.
I will be able to know more once I get a AMD 64 with the Venice core since it supports SSE3.
It will work on systems with SSE2 but things like iTunes or anything that uses Rosetta will not work which is 90% of the applications etc.
