You hope means that you don't want me to be the person you thought I could be. The others are just asking.

I don't have a backyard, only a driveway, most of the backyard is taken up by a guava tree and an aviary with 2 cockatiels and 2 ringnecks, there used to be 3 African Greys consisting of A mother, a father and a handreared child, but one of the parents died, so we sold the other parent and the child!

The lupo dash looks like so:

Belix - My bad - I dont even know what a Lupo was to be honest with you. I was just relaying what was told to me by a salesman at a VW dealership. Now you know how much cr@p they talk...

BTW : Seems like a Lupo is probably a Polo in some other country. My 2002 Polo has EXACTLY the same dashboard as the one you posted.

Dont have a pic of my dashboard here at work...

Thanks for info...

Emotionally I can't stand the thing! Rationally, it's a good buy. Car mag had a comparison on 4 small cars last month. Good read if you're in the market.

personally I love the citi! :inlove:

My first car and the car im currently driving is a 1987 Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.4 Carb, imported from the UK. I seriously needed a car when i got my license and my bank balance wouldnt allow much, got the car for R10 000. Apparently it was the top of the line Fiesta that time. It has a sunroof, central locking and electric windows (front windows only :P ).

Mine is pretty timeless, The clock doesn't work sometimes!

I'm glad that i'm not alone in this forum...My carb is giving in again, and its a tough time to find an 1100 carb anywhere...
I am gonna upgrade the engine soon, I cannot afford another car now, and an engine upgrade will cost me what i will spend on one installment on a new car! So me thort what the heck, just upgrade the engine and have the car sprayed again!
Anybody got a good engine, anything from 1300 upwards at a giveaway price?

My car was a 1986 Opel Kadett which my dad past on onto me but later the head gave in and couldn't find one anywhere. A friend of mine then said his dad will sell me a Tredia motor for R500 which I thought I would try to trade both motors for a working one but when I went to pick it up his dad said I could take the whole car

The Tredia was smashed in front side and stood quite a while but my brother bended it back to shape and bought points, plugs, condensor and a new battery and it started first shot :)

In 2000 I sold that and bought my father inlaw's 1996 nissan 1400 for R17000 and only 43000 km on the clock. He works quite close to home so it didn't get used much.

It's a real fuelsaver and cheap to maintain :) I just wish it will one day grow to be a dubbel cab though.

Things are new again...Didn't cost me that much, or at least didn't cost me what i thought it was gonna cost!

My mechanic showed me how two pistons collapsed and the rings were actually buckled up! He also told me there was NO!!! OIL !!! in the car, how i managed to drive was a miracle! Also the engine had no pressure inside it at all!
The last few days before the car went to the mechanic was a nightmare, car wasn't starting, Idling very high with a noise, cutting out whenever slowing down, jerking once car warms up!
Only actually took the car away two weeks ago, and got it back last friday! The engine had to be rebored because you don't get pistons for the 79 golfs anymore, so now i got bigger pistons!

And MAN, is the car driving like new again, no more cutouts, starts first time...But for the next two weeks, I have to drive like a snail until they retorque the engine!

:P :P :P

what about the Palios???

it might just be me, but they seem like a chicks car...

BUT THE SPECS!!! Wow...
P/S E/W Airbags, ABS, R/CD....

I still don't like them tho!

Long live the Citi!!!! but in UK the lupo is the same price as a Citi :(

and to the guy who asked what a lupo is... it is a Citi golf....but overseas VW acually decided to change the shape!!!!!!

I agree.

I've yet to get my first car, (I'm still running around on a bike), but I'm aiming to get an old Mini for my first car. They're fun things to drive around.
