New Posts listing disappears on new PM message notification

Hi Folks
Not sure if this is the right forum. Sure it'll be moved if regd.
Was wondering if there was any way around the PM message notification cancelling out all the unread posts in the forums? Every time I get a PM notification first thing in the morning, I pretty much give up reading the forums for an hour or two because all the "new posts since your last visit" icons disappear. Not a major bug, just a little annoying...
I hope I'm making some sort of sense here...

Sigh!
I always thought my first language was English...
Normally when you come onto the site, all the topics that have changed since your last visit have a helpful yellow icon next to them. However, when you get a PM, all the helpful yellow icons disappear - hence you cannot see which posts are new...
Is that a bit clearer?
PS not meant to be sarcastic, although it does sound that way on re-reading it

So am I correct in saying that you click on the pop-up and then go back to the forums and see that all the yellow markings are gone?

He does seem to be correct cameron, I tried it and all the flags greyed out?

This happens even without checking your pm's.

Yup, that's exactly what I mean. Even if you don't go into your PM message, if you get the pop-up window about the PM when you first log-in, all the yellow notification icons disappear.

Okay, I'll check it out and see what the story is. That is rather odd.
