This game is already "Furries Online" in all but name.

It can't really sink any lower, if that's what you're asking.

You should have moved to Twilights Hammer. I believe Pap en Vleis is still going strong there. I have moved on though and Guild Wars 2 is my playing field now.

Speaking of which, I am recruiting some raider spots over in PnV. Namely:
  • Shadow priest, with a working healing offspec
  • One of: mage, hunter, kitty druid, windwalker monk (the two ranged classes/specs preferred though: all of them will bring our missing crit buff)
Raiding times: 1930-2230, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Loot system: EPGP (publicly viewable here)

Minimum requirements:
  • Geared for Throne of Thunder (485+). Correct gems/enchants/reforges goes without saying.
  • At least >80% attendance.
  • Extensive knowledge on how to play your class and spec.
  • Knowledge of boss encounters (and the ability to gain said knowledge ahead of the fights).
  • Working headclamps and mic: communicating on TS is mandatory (merely listening in is not acceptable).
  • Most importantly: a good attitude, and the ability to have fun while killing stuff (and persevere on the progression fights). (You will have to put up with two of the dirtiest minds that I have ever come across -- as well as myself as your raid leader.)
If the above applies to anyone reading this, please drop me a PM.

Its a shame I can't bot my hunter. I'm sure people would have been glad to see Scriier back in action.

Cool.

So that you don't turn into that stereotypical huntard that rolls on everyone else's gear, here's a quick and dirty guide as to which classes and specs use which gear:

Cloth

With spirit: priests
Without spirit: mages, warlocks

Leather

With agility: rogues, windwalker monks, feral druids. If it doesn't have crit on it, brewmaster monks and guardian druids as well.
With intellect: mistweaver monks, restoration druids, balance druids.

Mail

With agility: hunters, enhancement shaman
WIth intellect: elemental shaman, restoration shaman

Note that all mail wearers wear leather until level 40.

Plate

WIth strength: this is a bit complex, and needs to be broken down further by the secondary stats on the item...
  • With any combination of hit, expertise and mastery: all warriors, all death knights, protection and retribution paladins.
  • With haste or crit thrown into the mix as well: arms and fury warriors, frost and unholy death knights, retribution paladins. If haste but no crit, also (and surprisingly to some) very good for protection paladins who know what they're doing.
  • With parry or dodge thrown into the mix as well: protection warriors, protection paladins, blood death knights.
With intellect: the exclusive domain of holy paladins.

Note that all plate wearers wear mail until level 40.

Once apon a time lvl40 was that mid point where you got a mount to explore the world. And lvl60 that point of finally reaching the end and opening up even more possiblities. Now... I don't even know anymore. The game hasn't evolved but rather changed.

Raid leading is hard sometimes.

Particularly when I need an entire whiteboard to work out the Dark Animus strategy.

I've actually found that when doing a "raid" in gw2 the most fun parts of the fight is taking care of the adds.

Did someone say WoW was getting easier in MoP?

That first login on a saterday morning as I created my human character. Greeted by the heroes of the 2nd war and standing in front of the abbey with the birds chirping, the wolves being mangy and the cobalds being stingy about their candles. How I miss wow...

Meanwhile...

It's going down tonight though. We managed to get it down to 30% last run (before I missed a cooldown, died, and had those damn health-draining bats then kill everyone else).

So, 31 July, World of warcraft is down to 7.7mil.

http://www.tomsguide.com/us/world-of-wa ... -1803.html

Interestingly enough the article does mention that feeling I had going into Wrath. After Warcraft 3 we were introduced to the world that we helped shaped, the world we fought major battles in. We sent armies to their deaths, we saved civilians from their doom. We became part of the world as adventurers exploring the dungeons of time past. And then we finally killed Arthas after his years of rule as the lich king.

We are ready for warcraft 4.

The odds that we will get another Warcraft RTS is slim. WoW was too big a cash cow and should it die it will be labelled as one of those franchises that aren't money generators anymore.
