Well since we're all doctors here and have a keen understanding on medical practices, I sure you should get plenty of answers involving the healing of bone tissue.

What's the clavical again? The shoulder blade, wait that's scapula... can't remember grade 9 biology.

Well I was playing rugby and I ran through a gap, but my one studd fell out so I was running at an angle to protect my ankel and a guy cam from the front and another guy from the back. The cancelled me but the I was still okay and then two props fell on my shoulder.

I had to walk to the nurse and all she gave me was ice.

So that is most of the story leaving out the hospital bit.

Yes neon the clavical is just above the coller bone.

Anyone now how long it will take to heal ?

Maybe the logical thing would have been to ask there, don't you think?

I remember a friend of mine broke her clavical when we were in high school. It will take some time to heal (like maybe two months or so). The important thing is to refrain from moving the arm on the side that you broke - in fact, I hope the doc put your arm into a sling or brace to prevent movement of that shoulder area.

You obviously didn't break it too badly though, or else they may have operated (badly broken bones in that area can be dangerous).

Tiza, have a look at this article :

How long will the effects of the injury last?

To some extent, the time to fully recover is influenced by your dedication to your rehabilitation program. A child may heal as quickly as 3 to 4 weeks, while an adolescent may take 6 to 8 weeks to heal. Adult athletes who have stopped growing may require 8 to 10 weeks of healing time before returning to their sport.

"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

The bone broke straight in the middle so all they could do was give me a sling and some mypradol
