Funky but since I started to play on Sunday I have had no lag or disconnection issues myself. I guess I am just lucky or it is yet to hit me.

Maybe just my isp although it seems like interface lag to me.

I've been having quite bad lag also, but it doesn't seem to be tied to one instance / zone.
Dalaran and WG gets some serious UI lagg, but even with all the players there my latency is no worse than anywhere else. However, I've been getting random latency issues and disconnects in various instances. Heroics, OS, Naxx.
Ulduar was fine for me though hehe.

As a new player you should not have issues until lvl 70 at least as most of those areas are under-populated anyway.
Ulduar is the top end-game raid instance at the moment.

Wintergrasp is lag-crazy.

Sucks big time when you're trying to run after someone, while having 7 sec lag, only to find that they've turned and run the other way :/

Nice thing is, it's lag-crazy for everyone :)
So as a warrior I can charge into a battle, thunderclap, to add my name to the kill list on those players and run out onto a single target to kill him.
Got almost 10k Honor in a single WG Wednesday night, including the bonus honor from the quests :D

Wintergrasp will probably not be playable without lag for a very long time, if not it might never be considering the amount of people. Maybe my issues lie with the 384k connection not being able to keep up "in ulduar first four bosses."

Try changing to unshaped accounts.

Normally, I think most people would.

But with unshaped bandwidth about double the cost of (semi)shaped, I don't think it's an option for many people.

Well, I'm finally back in the game!

I'm hoping to start a DK on Twilight's hammer once my Shammy reaches 80 on Xavius.

Nah I played it on another connection for a brief stint and I got disconnected about every 15 to 20 minutes. Not much fun to play like that I can tell you. Lag was also through the roof at that stage.

BTW what is your ping like? You might want to try this

That registry fix has already been implemented in a past patch, so it wont have any effect as far as i know >_> It didnt for me anyway. What did work is a delightful little program called smoothping. www.smoothping.com. I went from about 800 to just over 400 ms and the difference is noticeable. Helps a ton in arena and other pvp. Finally got my furious shoulders, i think i owe it to smoothping :P

Hi. I'm the current GM of Pap en Vleis :P Also 1st post on pcformat forum :)

We currently have about 500 toons, roughly 200-250 accounts, and alts. All our accounts are born and bred South Africans. There was a Greek who once accidently got invited into the guild....5 mins later he no longer was in the guild :P

We are a very social guild and yes we do boost low level guys when they need help and sometimes when board or doing achievement runs we offer boosts to any takers, though asking for boosts during raid times generally doesn't work.

Since we are social, we don't raid every night of the week and not for extended hours, to accomadate for the guys who work and have school, etc. But are raiding Naxx 10 (for the new 80's) Naxx 25 (For the not so new 80's) and Ulduar 10 and 25 (For the guys who need the challenge and have seen K'T face down a few times)

Recently a couple of guys in our guild got hacked (2 or 3 I think I wasn't one of them )and everyone from social rank up has access to open part of GB, so we lost a couple of low level greens and lotsa Stranglethornvale pages (these always find there way back in :P and the GM's on Twilight's Hammer where kind enough to give back the gear to the guys who were hacked, and sigh, our STV pages. Have since popped a post on our forum telling guys to install virus scanners (porn sites are dangerous you noobs) and change their passwords regularly.

All in all we have alota fun even though sometimes there are slight hick-ups :P

Hav fun and C u Online(Maybe)

Hehe, Stormrage was abandoned almost for 2 years now. All SA players came across to EU servers. Though I must admit that I am missing the all english understanding side of the US servers the 3am raid times doesnt suite me.

Patch 3.2 notes are out, and the highlight it seems is that Emblems of Conquest are gonna drop in hc's and Naxx now instead of Heroism and Valour. Basically 230 Badges = 6x226 items, two of which are T8.5

Quote:
Any dungeons that previously dropped Emblems of Heroism or Valor, such as Naxxramas or Heroic Halls of Stone, will now drop Emblems of Conquest instead. Emblems of Conquest can still be converted to Valor or Heroism.
