A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Wiz, I can cook. I had to learn when I lived in Belgium.
Gone are the days of setting the kitchen on fire
Die res van die gesprek gaan ek net 'n flat ignore kap... Ons werk tog immers hier met kos!

OK cool. You can be the sous chef. We'll all pitch at your place and you can impress some of us.
The rest will eat you food and be suitably appreciative...

Re: Food for thought (The food thread)
So what's the difference between reindeer steaks and other types of venison?
In other news - the ostrich farmers are complaining that the strong rand has stuffed up their profit margins. When asked why ostrich meat was so expensive locally, they pointed out that the price was determined by what they could get if they exported the meat.
So then by their reasoning ostrich should become really cheap locally? Or am I missing something?

It should - but they are sulking because they have to sell a certain percentage locally, which will lose them money. They are determined not to.

Which is a pity. Because as meat goes, ostrich is real nice. If prepared properly of course!
