I would say you have the best option there Ron. If you refresh it every time a post was made you sit with the possibility that you will do multiple refreshes before the first is actually finished which may, in some remote cases, cause a deadlock on the DB.Ron2K wrote:Well, to get it to refresh whenever a new post was made, I'd have to teach myself some AJAX first.bosaap wrote:Yea this is nicer and better looking than the old one.... but one small question and no its not for the sidebar.
Will it be possible to have the active topics refresh everytime a post was made or new post then you dont have to F5 the whole time. I have the forum open in its own tab while im busy with other stuff, and then coming back i have to refresh to see whats new, will it be possible?
What I've done instead was borrow one line of code from viewonline.php, add it to the relevant place in search.php, and the active topics page now refreshes every 60 seconds. I'll keep an eye on server load; if things slow down because of this, I will either increase the refresh interval or disable it entirely.
I asked maxxis that within ten minutes of our test run. He says it may be difficult to find the exact CSS styling, though not impossible. A couple others have asked too, so let's hold our breath and see.DAE_JA_VOO wrote:I have a gripe...

See how the page numbers all have a similar colour? Almost identical... see? Usually the CURRENT page is a different colour. Any chance we can change this?
I believe you have maxxis to thank for this theme. Speaking of which thanks maxxis it looks great, aside from my gripe about the loation of the PM, Email and other buttons, I love the new look!bosaap wrote:AAA thx Ron

Nice solution Maxxis.maxxis wrote:Looking at it.
The problem is that the pagination area has no class attached to links and non-link in the code.
What im doing is that Im busy rewriting that part of the code to add classes to the links in order to change the CSS to get the colours set for the a tag
That was going to be my next suggestion.maxxis wrote:What im doing is that Im busy rewriting that part of the code to add classes to the links in order to change the CSS to get the colours set for the a tag
