I say don't be cheap and destroy the car, grab a 1.6i head and larger pistons and get the block bored. It'll be quick :D Maybe some of the kombi pistons? Like the 2.3l, could take it to around 1.8i but a quick revver.

Stop the crude insults and just accept that none of these people care for your opinion on this subject.

NO-U

But you're still wrong about the use of inter-coolers. And btw. not all cars use oil to cool their pistons.

Fag!!!

Bit offensive there

I34z1k is no fag.

At least he gives relevant info worth something

And not come with Oil Inter coolers and bragg about compression ratio of 13:1.

You wont think pistons are overkill once you start pushing cast pistons through the block. 3 times
INcar Boost controller LOL you say?
Setting the boost while driving has saved me from a PK a couple of times. Damn Rotary engines.

Wow, did someone have to start make personal attacks to make him feel better?  Think what you want dude. I haven't seen your message as it has been editted, but I can guess.

Dude, I have proven once again, that you are not as smart as you like to think you are. I won't speak about a topic if I am not sure about myself. I know the limits of my knowledge about this topic, so I only comment when I am certain of something. You're claims and comments have been far from the truth so rather just keep them to yourself as it is obvious that nobody here cares what you think.

SBSP, what's your budget? You sure you want to turbo? You will have major heating issues as the 8valves are mostly U flow, which means intake + exhaust is on the same side. Most turbo'd cars are crossflow as it gives more space and better cooling for the turbo.

@ Map, I'm saying for his application bud ;)

Forged pistons + rods are overkill for what he wants and the in car boost controller will just be abused

LOL @ the pk ;)

I have a buddy who owned a GX with a 13B. Makes for an interesting ride, but damn, don't even think about putting on the brakes- what brakes?? The funniest for me was the way he modded the car. He stuck a Tiburon wing on the boot, and had the Cone stick out the bonnet. Three weeks later we counted at least three different cars (two of them GX's) with the same mods. Just different paint schemes.

Same buddy who then swapped that GX for the Golf (previous post) which he then swapped for one of those 1979 left-hand drive RX7's. With a carb and a turbo. So I know for a fact that you can turbo a carb motor. He mentioned two methods- push-through (force through) or a suck-through method. Dunno which he used on the RX7 though.
