Ark, i'm having trouble downloading your song. All i'm getting is a 6kb file. Might be a problem with Flashget though.

Here's something that I made on a friend's PC back in 2005.

(Someone please recommend to me good music making software. If you tell me where I can get it, you get bonus points.)

sorry to hijack but does anybody here listen to Groove Coverage. What do you rate is their best track including remixes.

Not really, I think their stuff is a tad cheesy.

I like Groove Coverage. Runa away is da shiz!

But, I'm more into Vocal Trance. You know, the uplifting kind. You can't get better music than Reflekt, Kay Stone, MIDOR & six4eight, and the like.

have you listened to the "God is a girl" remix with Eminem. Pretty cool and also there is "on the radio..." and also 7 years and 50 days is a classic.

Since its been a while, I thought I'd upload another.

Here's a piece of progressive trance I made in Sony ACID Pro 5.0c (Or was that FL Studio 6?)

Anyway, I heard a choir (sounding similar to the choir from that song O'Fortuna) singing a tune, so I thought I would remake the melody using a few VSTi instuments and turn it into trance.

Ark, if you don't mind me asking, what software do you use for making your tracks and where would I be able to get a copy?

I mainly use FL Studio 6 XXL, but now and then I use Sony ACID Pro 5.0c and Cakewalk SONAR. As for where to get it, GOOGLE it ;).

You'll also need to find some VSTi plugins and DXi effects if you want your music to sound good.

And to add to that, as the legendary Paul van Dyk once told me (I'm not joking here), find the program and plugs that suits YOUR talent and creativity.

Awesome tune.

Want to hear the finished version. It ends kind of suddenly.

Very cool though. Trancey.

WOW dude. Sweet track you got going there! I've been producing my own tracks for just over 5 years now. I use Reason 3, so my tracks take a lot longer to make than on FL or ACID. I still have those apps installed if I cant get a sample right in Reason. You should give it a try, its awesome but takes lots of learning before hand! What samples you use? I reckonise them from somewhere. Sounding brilliant, keep them coming

My advice: Lengthen the ending by maybe fading the main synth and taking the bass from 100% to around 30% and try tweak the snares and snyth right at the end.

After the break, maybe pitch the main synth sample one or two modules higher and see how it sounds!

Do you DJ?

I don't use samples, I make all my riffs with various VSTi instruments through a piano roll editor. If you want to know what VSTi plugs I use its, Toxic III, Adventus 1.5, TS404, Superwave Pro, Superwave Performer and cheeze machine. If you know of any other decent plugs, please let me know where I can order it.

Sup peeps.

Have a listen to my latest rendering:

http://www.savefile.com/files/380340

I apologise if there's too much bass. I'm using cheap speakers and tend to overcompensate for the lack of low end frequencies.

It needs some work in the mastering department and it's kind of random, but whatever, it's pretty good. :D
