"When God created greatness, he created you. Bless the life you are living and whatever that you are given; never beg for more. Love yourself for who you are today, because today is a gift and you'll never see another day like today. Be grateful for the love your friends and family give you, that your life is a miracle and not a disaster. No matter how bad it is, look up instead of down." - Jason Mei

I'm a huge fan of C.S. Lewis and the following words from his sermon, The Weight of Glory, always make me think that every interaction we have with another human being is so much more than we assume it to be.

"It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations."

ok, so i am not normally the one to post these kind of things but it is something that we all experience and all need help with at one point or another.... it's a dagstuk that i read recently, so here goes..... (it's in afrikaans so i am sorry to the english speaking people)

God dra jou op sy vlerke

Soos 'n arend wat sy kuikens op sy vlerke dra, so het die Here, net Hy alleen, sy volk gelei
~ Deuteronomium 32:11 - 12 ~

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God,which transcends all understandind will gaurd your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus...

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
~ Psalm 90:12 ~

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
~ Proverbs 16:24 ~

He alone is my rock and salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
~ Psalm 62:2 ~

Chris Tomlin's Indescribable wrote:
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
And You know them by name
You are amazing, God

All powerful, untameable
Awestruck we fall to our knees
As we humbly proclaim
You are amazing, God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet, conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
And You know them by name
You are amazing, God

All powerful, untameable
Awestruck we fall to our knees
As we humbly proclaim
You are amazing, God
You are amazing, God

Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
And You know them by name
You are amazing God

All powerful, untameable
Awestruck we fall to our knees
As we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
And You know them by name
You are amazing, God

Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart
And You love me the same
You are amazing, God
You are amazing, God
