Well if this doesn't work, then I shall have to emigrate. :-P

It is difficult not to feel despondent about this: most of those I come across who DO have interesting profiles are far too intelligent and/or well educated/cultured for me to hold a conversation with.

Gory details? Pics?

You know how curious we are!

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Well.....Vincent Park Shopping Centre in the suburb of Vincent in East London is relaunching the "My Vincinity" rewards scheme, and they had a few ladies scattered around the centre taking registrations on tablets [no, not clay tablets...I know that we are backward here, but...]. I marched up to her and said:
Lol. Orsm tablet!! Lol. May I play wif it? Lol?!

Not.

Interspersed with a good deal of stuttering, my words were: "Ummm.....so....how do you manage to see anything with that visor pulled down over your face......?"

She said that she looks up every so often.

We then got down to the business of registration.

Erm....not allowed to take pictures in Vincent Park. People's right to privacy, I suppose.

Tee hee brilliant Birdie. That is a brilliant start. Now if only you had said what you thought. That would be the next step perhaps. Was she pretty under that visor?

What was I thinking, SnowLeopard?

No next step. This was not an attempt to interest her in [eventually] Path of Exile multiplayer, or maybe some Team Fortress.....or.....loony conspiracy theories and alternative histories. I really did think that wearing it that way was a bit daft. Didn't pay attention to what she looked like. I lie....she had blonde hair and no conspicuous freckles. May have been slightly shorter than me, or around the same height.

This was just to practise Smalltalk.

In any case: she looked as though she was fresh out of school!

Her accomplice was taking pictures of her with other people, so there may well be pics up on Vincent Park's website within the next year or two....

Oh...I see that they have a FB page!

Have you ever been....been.....trapped by somebody's eye's, and had to pull yourself away.

A staff member stopped to give me a lift the rest of the way to work this morning. Almost had an embarrassing scene when I came to thank her for the transport she provided.

D33 - I am still trying to understand what you said there. You are either disillusioned in relationships or being cynical.

Please explain

They say the first rule of improv is that you're not allowed to say no. There's your way in, Mr Phoenix.

 What happens if its a invatation for a cheese fondue dinner with a bunch of midgets in furry costumes? Using your rules you are not allowed to say no so ... you are in for a interesting evening then right? :P

@Tribble I have no idea how to take d3's comment either. Methinks its a combination of both...

Yes - very disturbing comment if you examine it closely.

And don't lie - you would love that sort of cheesy fondue

Lol no. I'm more confused than cynical :| (no, I don't mean I like boys. )

I just don't like when people start with the dream and then try to force it on a real person, flaws can be good! The people who start with the dream rush too quickly into things.
